    I like the way my two piercers put the issue of people wanting such cheap piercing jewellery - "People are happy to spend $1000 on a bracelet or a watch from a jewellery store, but when it comes to a piece of jewellery they're going to put in their body, they suddenly want the cheapest thing they can get their hands on, no matter how poor the quality."

      i get having a good person to do your piercings but they are not a jewelry sales person so maybe they are not the person to be selling it right. also don’t they just buy there stuff online to it’s not like they are driving down to a metal worker or jeweler to get what they need to mark up and sell to us. but that being said i love watching the videos and keep doing they i watch them all the time. thumbs up for shore.

    Look, I don’t want to drive all around town stopping my local shops trying to find a lip ring. I’ve been in many shops where I can’t really see the jewelry and I don’t want to keep a piercer from their work so that I can look at each ball or whatever for something I like. Also, piercing shops provide a service, it shouldn’t be based off of retail. I don’t think we should be judged for trying to find other outlets for jewelry or trying to save money because I don’t have time for that. All I came here for was to get advice on GOOD, REPUTABLE, online retailers where I’m not worried about if it will turn my lip green or whatever. Instead of going on a lame rant, help out your clients or your average person and steer them away from places that will make their body parts fall off due to infection (being dramatic). I don’t think people are asking where online to buy so that they can get the cheapest possible, they are asking because they trust your advice and if you provide them with something helpful then they would consider coming back to you.

    I use to go to my piercer for my stretching. He sold really awesome smooth rounded glass plugs, with helped with up grading sizes. I fell in love moved about five hours away, I went to about five different shops, none have glass. All acrylic and plastic eyelets. The kind you find of amazon, but want $20 for it. Same price as my glass, but not glass. Asked if they would get some, they told me, they won't because its not good for stretching. And it's to expensive and not high in demand. So I tried to see if my old piercer would send me some, yet again not possible. So online became my only choice.

    I was going to get a piercing last year and my piercer ordered jewelry. They then lost the jewelry, forgot who I was, and I was so mad I decided never again. I prepaid for the jewelry and to get the piercing done as I went in for a consultation. Maybe THIS is also an issue and why people tend to just take matters into their own hands. A lot of piercers seem to have a "whatever goes, maaaan" attitude, and when you lose expensive jewelry and then have to wait 6+ mo's to replace it and that's basically money lost, you tend to just do things on your own, instead of relying on others to do it for you. No one will be as careful with your money as you - since you worked for it. How's that saying go? "If you want something done right, do it yourself." Yeah.

    What you fail to realize is sometimes its just not a option to get it from the store, I like to wear the black steel piercings. In my area barely anyone carries them and the never have the curved black barbell or captive bead rings. The variety of piercings is more limited where I live so buying locally isn't always a option. So its easier for me to just order it online. And when you title a video Top 10 Websites For Body Jewelry you have the websites instead of a rant. I've read so many things online about microdermal migration/rejection. Some people say bandaid therapy works, one person has suggested having a piercer push directly on top of the dermal to sort of push it back in place. Most people online have told me that every microdermal is a "temporary" piercing, and that once they start moving there's no saving them. If your single point piercing starts to reject or migrate, is there any way to salvage it?

    I just found this channel about a week ago, and am slowly working my way through the old videos. Thankyou guys for all the great videos and information. You touched on something, at the "answering viewer questions" part of the video, that broke my heart. The fact that people are being mean to your staff, after having been on your videos. I know there are some really awful trolls, roaming the halls of the interwebs, but it is hard to imagine any one being hateful to such nice guys, like Kenny and Josh. I love those two! I know I am really late to the party, but I think those guys are sweethearts, through and through. While there are a lot of hateful trolls, I hope they remember that for every one of those asshats, there are 10 quiet people smiling when they share their joy and passion with us. Kenny, I am touched by the tenderness and care you show to your ARGO crew, holding them and helping them swing, whether it is the first or 10th time. :)

    Got a question. I've wanted to get my ears re pierced/gauged and I was wondering can they gauge to a 0 the same day of the piercing? And how would they do it?

    • @tackettman123
      @tackettman123 Před 9 lety +4

      Sorry, pet peeve of mine. Its not "gauging", its the act of stretching.
      If you would want a 0 the day you go into a shop, pretty much youre looking to get a punch, or scalpeled. (Sp?) . The important thing to remember with that, is that it is actually taking tissue out of your ear, meaning it will never naturally close by itself, and it would also hinder further stretching to an extent, as you dont have as much tissue to work with. I know its not what you wanna hear, but unless you want to literally lose some of the tissue in your ear, i would get it pierced normally, wait the allotted time, and start stretching the piercing. Stretching a piercing is all about patience, and trust me, when you reach your goal size, providing everything was done correctly and you waited optimal time before stretching, it will be so worth it to yourself. In the end, its all up to you. Whether you stretch, or get it punched out, its your body, your decision. Good luck with whatever you choose to do

    Okay, I have a question about torn piercings, well, piercings you want to heal in general. What is the best options to get established holes to closes? Also, is there any way, besides visiting a doctor, to fix a torn piercing? I am asking about ear piercings, specifically the lobes. Then, is is possible once things are healed, closed, fixed, etc. can the ear be repierced in near/same area?

    How many piercers do you usually have at the shop on any given day? And how many other staff members are there to help run the show? I've always wondered if it takes a lot of people to run a shop or not.

    Hiya, How would youu recommend getting into the business?
    I've been wanting to become a piercer for a while now and I'm struggling to find someone in myy area who is willing to train me and I know that being an apprentice is how I would learn best.
    I've also been told to just go out and get myy equipment and start without any official training.
    Basically, I've been getting a lot of mixed answers and, as I trust youu as a piercer, I thought I'd ask your opinion.
    Thanks, Emma.
    P.S. I'm in the UK in case that changes anything.
    :)

      Emma Wilson You probably won't get an apprenticeship. You will have to work for nothing as work experience and you will only be allowed to observe until you are able to get your licence from the local council.

    TL;DR - even if you want to get jewellery online, don't. Help out your favourite piercing studio out and get it from them. Even if they don't usually stock something, they will be more than willing to order it for you. Not to mention they will give you a heap of info and probably even help you change your jewellery. Despite how intimidating they tend to look, pierces are generally really nice friendly people.

    I'm actually curious about custom jewelry. I know you have mentioned and shown off some custom pieces you've done since its part of what you love to do but how could one go about finding someone to do custom body jewelry locally?
    Is that something most piercers would know about and could point you in the right direction? I want to get a vertical philtrum and a septum piercing, and I have dream of owning gorgeous rose gold colored jewelry with pearls or opals to wear. I was thinking the same thing for if I decide to get dermal anchors too.

    • @pangeapiercing
      @pangeapiercing  Před 9 lety +2

      FLUFFERKINZ any legit piercer should be able to help you get what you need. Now, as far as piercers who make custom jewelry....unless you live around me, Maria Tash, or Micah Greenlay, you're pretty much SOL as there are only a handful of piercer/jewelers on the entire planet, and we pretty much all know each other (shit- I'm drawing a blank on my buddy up in Canada who made Fergie's eyebrow jewelry) but yeah, a legit piercer can help you get what you need. Knowing what's available is part of the job IMO.

    I would love to go to my professional piercer's shop whenever I need new jewelry, but it's a bit of a drive, and I've been ill and going through treatments and surgeries for a long time. I do go when I can, though. Hearing this now though, I'll try to only buy online if I have an emergency situation where I lose a piece or something and am unable to go out.
