Tellico River Gorge - Dispersed Camping, Cheap Camping on the River!

- We head down the Tellico River Gorge in Tennessee, checking out all the campgrounds situated right along the river. There is one dispersed campground and 5 paid. None are over $10 a night for single spot. All have bathrooms, trash receptacles, lantern holders, fire pits and level RV/Tent pads. There is a checking station about half way down to empty tanks, clean them and fill potable water. Lucy, the Water Dog finally gets to play in the water and a quick walk around at the site we chose.
Me and my dog Lucy are traveling the US, losing weight, getting healthy and enjoying life. Follow along on our journey as we set out to explore State Parks, National Forests & Random Places. We will also along the way be doing some gold panning and collecting mineral specimens among other activities.

Our pleasure!
I am a certified Comcast producer and did a documentary on Tellico Plains as it is one of the best kept secrets of the SE. My buddy Dave 37 year veteran of US Aur Force lives there. He took me to some amazing sites in the area.
Nice
Nice area
Yes it is. Lots of camping options and lots to do through there. Definitely going back soon :)
Basic situation at the Telico River sites past Baby Falls....and Indian Boundary (overflow area)and Citico Creek (all free) off the Cheohala Skyway is:
No brick bathroom or water pipe is free
Bathroom and water pipe = $10
Big RVs should go to Indian Boundary main campgrounds with hookups and the full showers.
I motorcycle camp there several times a year. Depends on the weather, temperature which dispersed site I choose.
Some of the no fee sites have well services portajohns.
Yes, I love that are. I'm hoping to get more content from around there this year as I will not be doing any long distance travelling for a while.
Is that above or below the "falls"?
