There are a total of sixteen Toyota-owned factories in Japan. All but three of these are located in or near Toyota City, while the others are located in Kyushu, Hokkaido and northern Honshu. Forged parts, hybrid system parts, chassis parts.

So true.... the phrase "Made in Japan " is still highly valued and anything with it commands a higher resale price as evidenced by the Toyota Landcruiser, 4Runner, Pruis, and all Lexus products with the exception for the ES and RX series

You know the irony is that it was Edward Demming an American professor who took the lessons learned from military manufacturing after WW2 to American car companies who claimed it was too expensive and cumbersome to adopt the process of QC that he had developed.
Japanese companies on the other hand were happy to learn which is why their models tend to not put out gimmicky features with every model release. Its tried tested and true before it comes out. Its a 10 year cycle of learning, model revisions and improvements and fortunately Toyota has never given up on this approach.
Add that to Kaizen, TPS, and Lean manufacturing and we have Toyota the industrial giant today.

Proud owner of a Japan built 2004 Lexus GX470 and Kentucky built 2006 Avalon...Both are tight,quiet and have been stellar reliable now pushing 20 years and nearly 200k on each of them

Yes this, I got my yaris and it was french built. Those bastards didnt tighten bolts inside the dash and I had to take it apart because it made a terrible rattle.
But how do Japanese workers take pride if they are not the ones making the car? Even in Japan it’s all robots that do work.

Went through the Toyota factory in Kentucky (United States) 4 years ago! They built and assemble every Camry that has Ever been made ! It was a very clean factory but so are the Factories at Ford and GM !

It's easy to see the differences in production and personnel between the American and Japanese factories. That's why I will always buy the one made in Japan over one made anywhere else.

@@IAMMRONALD This is not about hating America, but rather acknowledging that mfr quality is significantly better with products fully assembled in Japan. Different work ethic & commitment to excellence, something America USED to brag about 50-60 years ago.
Toyota prius mechanism is masterpiece of engeneering i know that some people think it is an averag car but the way it work..amazing.
My 2005 Camry is built @ TMMK and runs very well these past 16 years. Every vehicle is manufactured differently and it's hard to compare quality across any manufacturers model line up unless that same model is being made at various plants. The Tahara plant in Japan is the best quality plant and has won numerous platinum awards. The Lexus LS is made there.
Is the Camry for Europe also made in Japan ?

I will buy a Japanese made TOYOTA vehicle any day of the week. They take pride in their workmanship. Their attention to detail is beyond this world. It's embedded in their culture and DNA. American made, different story. I am referring to vehicle assembly workmanship, not vehicle overall reliability.

@@higherlifts420 You must be quite high on those lifts or whatever else you're smoking to say that. Look at the Ford Bronco, Corvette, or any Dodge-y product the big 3 put out. Mismatched seats, trims, transmission issues, warranty issues within 10k miles and more.

I own a Toyota product; a 2007 Lexus ES 350 which was made in Japan. I believe all he has 350s were made in Japan up until around 2015.
The fit and finish of my Lexus is incredible, and I now have 180,000 miles on it With nothing more than a few minor repairs.
With all due respect to the American automobile worker in a Toyota plant, when I am ready to replace my 2007 Lexus ES 350 I will be looking for nothing later than a 2014 Lexus ES 350 because they were still made in Japan!
Yeah I have to agree with you on that and is the same with wherever they make any Toyota/Lexus products, including Germany or wherever they have subsidiary plants. Just bought a 22 Corolla and from what I've read, over 70% of Toyota's in the US are made here and really surprised me. Luckily mine was produced in Japan and am glad that I was able to obtain one made there. I'm not saying anything against American workers, it's just that no one in the world has better attention to detail than the Japanese and they know their own product best. It's the same situation with the ones made anywhere else in the world, I'd rather have a Japanese one and has been proven that they are better cars all around

I have 2013 es300h japan made. I am first owner and it has 200k mile on it. I have never experienced any problem. Runs like new.
@@rodrogers6895 ES350's are split between US and Japan assembly lines. About half of the upper V6 trims are fully assembled in Japan. I believe Lexus said last year that 100% of the ES production will move back to Japan (starting with MY 2023) which are very positive news.
Thank you for making such wonderful cars. My Marsha (my little marshmallow Prius) passed away suddenly. We are guesstimating that she was 350,000 miles old because her odometer stopped at 299,999. I still miss her. Enjoying driving my RAV4 company rental. Both are fabulous

The employees made putting the car together so simple. But when you have to fix or repair the car, it takes unique skills and knowledge to even know which bolt or nut to remove and put back together.

мне бы новую гибридную систему в приус 3 поколения , чтоб в ev режиме проезжать км 100 хотя бы )) вот это было бы классно , просто очень нравиться кузов приуса 3 поколения , удачный дизайн ,дизайнеры поработали на 1000% молодцы . Еще бы добавили в машину пневмо подвеску для более комфортной езды по не очень хорошим дорогам и + шум изоляцию получше чтоб прям на 100 балов !
Хайландер или рав4 на гибриде. От приуса много не проси это приус.
А еще бы не гнила так
@@V.J.J.V. возле моря да если покрытие имеет повреждение..то увы ржавчина будет . Я ездил по Хабаровску год ни чего чтобы намекало не ржавчину , машину увезли в Калининград через 1 месяц появилась в местах поврежденной краски особенно с внутренней стороны капота почему-то .
@@user-db1gv5kl8z сколько видел япошек, все гниют и гниют страшно, будь то таета, нисан или хонда, сузуки или субару. Арки пороги копоты. Метала там нету по сути, кулаком постучите по кузову. Звук как из ведра. Пальцем на капоте легко яму можно сделать если сильнее надавить. Консервные банки какие то. Не спасибо, я на такую дичь больше не поведусь.
@@V.J.J.V. говорю за себя у меня было 3 тойоты ни одна ни сгнила, думаю вопрос в том где вы пользуетесь автомобилем . Даже митсубиси был и тот цел ..еслиб не дтп , какие марки сейчас в хорошей стали? Дело то не в стали а в обработке ее от карозии .. можно авто обработать и все будет нормально
