I'm curious as to if these sentences take into account the multiple jurisdictions, she's in, of if they're all based on US sentencing.

DuBois acted outside of her jurisdiction for most of her crimes, as she was just a member of Monaco's animal control. Therefore, she would not have legally been allowed to go after the animals after they left Monaco. Also, what she did before boarding that train could count as stalking.
And... You know... People aren't typically allowed on active train tracks
Chantel Dubois is awesome. She was the best thing about Madagascar 3 and stole every scene she was in. She was a Terminator in French form.

Chantel should not be charged for illegal border crossing , as France and Italy are part of the freedom of movement of people in the European union
Maybe for European borders, but crossing into New York, and therefore the U.S., would still be illegal, unless Dubois and her team each had a legal passport to enter into the country that is just not presented in the movie. I also think that by that point, in a case where there were a few animals from a traveling circus on the loose, it would be within the bounds of the country the circus is in and the circus itself to try and capture/repossess the animals that escaped, not the psycho lady that is stalking animals across country borders for poaching. đ

Fair point, but as someone already mentioned, sheâs out of jurisdiction because sheâs animal control for Monaco, so she should have notified the Italian authorities and let them handle it.

3:09 in Europe that is not illegal, we have open borders between EU countries, the Schengen area members and their citizens meaning that we just need our ID card to move around Europe, Monaco is technically not part of UE but is part of the Schengen area along with the other micro countries (the Vatican, Liechtenstein, San Marino and Andorra), the illegal border crossing would count only if she passed through non Schengen area members such as UK, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Ireland and Romania, or places that are not even part of the EU.
