      I have to say that MK3 is ridiculously capable device for any kind of Genre but downside is quality build ( encoders ) if those are replaced and reinforced with circles or special caps that won't make moves then MK 3 is fantastic instrument and Software able to deliver finished product. Robust learning curve is not that hard and is focused on the main principles of Mix with couple of rules in front of everything else in certain situations. It's actually easy to learn robust workflow because it's repeat of the same and combination of several different things while in other DAW people never gather courage to make decision about when it's done or what is the main focus but skipping the basics like Balance is something that everyone who wants to do something will have to get back and learn basics . In mixing first lesson is about choosing the Mic and placement of the same in other words it's important to choose right sounds that would work together and it's already process leading towards the expirience that had important role in real life situations. There are more but just on the start level Maschine have better impact and direct approach while different DAW's giving possibilities for skipping everything and overcomplicate everything same as majority of today's Producers . Making good Music and Pro quality sound is 41% of the job and it's easier one because he w to promote Music, how to find your listeners who are also looking for you, it's crazy and it's business with good persons but with vanity which should be seen in time and understood because the goal is always success and in the history of mankind there is not a single person who did something alone. There is no such Man, and people together can do something, but before that is trust...MK3 as a device is best Analogue Human Input instrument and with fast workflow it's possible to make several beats for rap trap ect. In one day. It can be very effective for everyone who knows what they want. Unbelievable but quality is not so good like M+ made premium quality for last long and meant to be used.

    Good video my brother! Maschine does now sell the software by it's self. They just started selling it in the last idk 2 years I think it is around $99 for Maschine 2. That being said buying used is ok now. Used to have to make 100% sure the seller had a license that they would transfer. I bought a couple MK2 Mikros for travel and had the seller send screen shots of them placing a transfer request before I purchased the product. I would however suggest if you buy used to ask for a discount without the software as you will have to buy it seperate.

      @@marcd3518The difficulty I was referring to occurred more than ten years ago when a friend of mine brought a used Maschine that didn't have the serial number, its previous owner lost it. Of course, with today's advanced technology, we can get help with it now. The Maschine was gathering dust since he never got around to using it because it was so hard to acquire access to the software. Without the serial number, it's useless. That reason and then some is why I gave up purchasing used tech.

    I had the Maschine Mk1, fell in love and then ended up giving it to a family member (a few years later) thinking I would just upgrade a to the new version, MK3. I never did and the only thing holding me back on the Maschine Plus now, is whether or not NI will continue to support and send out a very much needed software update. If nothing comes in the next few months, I'm thinking about going with the new MPC +. Thanks for the info and the video my friend!

      Actually, I really enjoy my MK3, and the Maschine Plus is also good. Because it is so practical for my everyday studio routine, the MK3 will always be my go-to drum machine. For now, I am going to keep using it despite the hardware and software needing significant updates and upgrades. The same goes for the Mikro, but do what feels right for you and I hope whatever you decide to use for your work turns out well. Blessings ✌🏾

    I started with a used Maschine MK2,, then got a Maschine Studio and a Komplete Kontrol with all the software and 15 expansions for $770( a steal). And finally last year, in july to be precise, I purchased the Maschine Plus and The Maschine Jam in a combo for 4900.00( another Steal). I would recommend buying from Reverb 100%, the seller will tell you if what they are selling comes with or without the software and expansions if any. And they will make the proper transfers of licence with Native Instrumentas as I had done with all the equipment I have purchased from them. If you buy from a legit place you'll be fine.

    Rumors have it that an MK4 will be coming out in Q3-2026, also if people have the Kontakt 12, 13, or 14 collection, then getting the MK3 is wroth it.
    Because if the person is knee-deep in the Native Instruments ecosystem, meaning that have purchased Kontakt collection or lots of instruments and drum banks on its own,
    then the MK3 is wroth getting because it can operate everything in Native Instrument's ecosystem, including all the effects NI sells.
    The only time one would need to veer away from an MK3 like getting an Akai, Novation, or even a Push, is because people want top control their specific DAW with it.
    You can of course control other DAW instruments with MK3, but most people would rather purchase a specific controller for their particular DAW, like Ableton Live with Push 2 or APC64
    and Pro-Tools with Akai Force or an actual MPC.
    Now, for those electronic EDM dance producers, they usually just program their drums and percussion right on the DAW itself with a mouse and keyboard.
    Since everything is just 4 on the floor, quantized to 8ths and 16ths. Very rarely, you would see an EDM producer or programmer use MK3 for EDM production.
    Since most EDM beats are just copy pasta. 🤷‍♀ You know , Boots and pants, Boots and Pants, Boots and pants. 😂😂😂

    I think everyone has their own way of working, and assuming it works well for you, maschine is indeed a nice tool to make music effectively.
    I’m not even making a hip hop beats, but with the right amount of stuffs, even making a heavy metal songs are so easy and efficient to do.
    And the quality of the sound it’s making is just fascinatingly good.
    Only thing I wish is, just like you said, to make the software more streamline and up to date. I like how light the software is, but the editing with it is pain in the ass, especially with the automation.
    If they make a fully loaded DAW out of it, I’m still willing to pay extra to get it just for how well it works for me. NI just need to put a bit more effort with their software 😢

    • @jaunti
      @jaunti  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Exactly. With the Maschine, you can basically create anything with it, it doesn't have to be just hip-hop music. Hopefully, NI will be adding more innovation and ingenuity to the software. You can absolutely purchase used controllers that are connected to software. Let’s correct that. What you need to do is make sure that you’re buying software where they’re offering a license transfer Native Instruments offers license transferring you can’t just go by the hardware without knowing that you’re getting the license transfer that goes for any hardware that you’re buying Native Instruments or aakai. however Akai is a little bit more forgiving about transferring the software as compared to Native Instruments

    • @jaunti
      @jaunti  Před 7 měsíci +2

      I did not elaborate on that point. This particular situation occurred nearly 13 years ago with the release of the first Maschine Mikro and the previous owner of that Maschine lost the serial number. As a result, my friend never followed up to have the matter rectified. In any case, based on my prior experiences, I always think it is best to purchase brand-new, unopened equipment. Also, I believe that the reason Native Instruments is less lenient than Akai is because so many people have abused it. It's the same with Apple, how can we be certain that when someone requests a serial number or even a transfer of license, they are not obtaining stolen equipment?

A year later, they released a better version of the same VST after I criticized them for not giving us what was supposed to come with the plugin in the first place. You see? We just need to put our voices together and maybe the companies will listen, they'll give us what we need.

    Mpc 2000 xl user here and though the machine is kool I rather use a machine that doesn't do all my work for me.
    It sounds like you just needed to step your gane up on coming up with ideas, understanding the functionality of the unit as well as learning how to mix.
    It just sounds like you're not meant to make music.
    I put in all the work. Its how you get your unique sound. Now the companies make it easy for anyone especially those with no natural abilities in creating music make beats is why everyone on the radio and stream sites all sound the same.
    As long as youre copying others people still wont notice you as you saturate the industry with cloned sounds and patterns.
    Hardwork pays off.

    • @jaunti
      @jaunti  Před 4 měsíci +2

      Respectfully speaking? Umm, with all due respect, but based on your judgement towards what I said in my video, you're completely wrong about me. I am literally explaining the differences between the units for those who have trouble deciding. I mention the functionalities from all three and pinpoint what can be useful, affordable and suitable for those who are struggling to choose out of the three. I am a Maschine guy, so I've been repeatedly asked to make this video. Because of this video, I am only just trying to help. From what you told me, you believe musicians are less experienced if they wanted to try a different product or a DAW? Because that's exactly what you're implying. I did not like the workflow with FL Studio and the MPK49, so I tried something else that I was more comfortable with. If a producer switches from FL Studio with a MPK Mini to Logic Pro with a Seaboard Rise keyboard, you think that makes them lazy?
      I do agree with what you said: "don't let your music equipment make you lazy" but that's not what I was focusing on. You missed the entire point of the video. I even mentioned other equipment and software to those who are eager to try out new/different things. It's 2024, things are different. I use Maschine because it actually helps me with music theory. The Maschine integration between the hardware and the software is what speed up my workflow, because of that reasoning, you think that makes me a lazy producer? That's ridiculous if you ask me. I was inspired by DDS, the talented producer behind Dej Loaf's biggest record "Try Me", who also uses the Maschine so if you think I'm lazy for having the same workflow as him then there are probably thousands of other producers you are questioning who put a lot of effort into their work, even those who don't use the Maschine, including those you're probably inspired by. The Maschine doesn't even have AI technology or it doesn't even do half of the work for you, even if you wanted it to. You actually have to put in the work yourself. I just have a fast creative mindset when it comes to making beats, so you're thinking if I can make a beat in less than 10 minutes than I must be using products that do most of the work for me, right?
      I've been producing, mixing and mastering music for over 15 years. I've sung and wrote songs/poems my entire life. I'm much older than you think, so don't let my baby face fool you. Not only that, but I've also worked with an artist who was signed to Capital Records and Cash Money Records, another artist that is currently signed to Lil Flip's Clover G Records. I've worked with both big and small artists/producers. I'm partnered with 10+ music companies around the world, and God knows how hard I have worked to make it this far. If you think I'm doing it all wrong, then I must be doing something right. I actually put in a lot of effort into my work, I even made a couple of videos last year about producers using products that do most, if not all, of the work for them. Other CZcamsrs, including myself, called out Unison Audio for creating products like that. Look it up. Blood, sweat and tears are what I put into my craft, so get to know someone for who they really are and then make your observation, not before.
      Respectfully, of course #sensational ✌🏾

      A keyboard with a screan and DAW style software to arrange samples and sounds is still a instrument the same as a Machine or MPC is, with the only difference being one has keys and the other has pads.

    i find it a bit crazy that thge maschine + is $1649.00, the mk3 1s $749.00, yet the MPC One+ is 999.00 (all in canadian dollars) and from what i can see other than setup and button layout etc the MPC One+ & Maschine + are very very comparable in memory / processor etc ... but maschine is almost double the price for whatever reason and none of the screens are even touch screens like the Akai One +... hard to come to a decision to be entirely honest . I do like the layout of Maschine + better with the groups all to the left and all the knobs up top and out of the way of the pads .. really struggling to make a decision (also either way i choose to go doesnt matter as ive never used either MPC or maschine before ... I just want to get into something new that I can do in my free time at home as a form of expressing my creativity)

    • @jaunti
      @jaunti  Před 5 měsíci

      I can respect that. I was in the same boat years ago, deciding on what I wanted but the high prices are what kept me from doing so. Some might call it 'being cheap' but I call it 'wise spending'. I tried the Maschine Mikro first. I had it for two months, took it with me everywhere I went, then I purchased the MK3 but I brought them when there was a huge sale, that is the only time when I make major purchases. Think of it as an investment. To me, it was worth it.

      @@haus05I'd say follow your heart but try not to second guess yourself. If you want the Maschine MK3 or the Plus, go for it. @@jaunti I’m just worried if I get the machine plus (which is kinda how I’m leaning due to the way it operates / the way the workflow seems easier) that they will release an mk4 and the price of the + will drop and then I’ll be out of pocket for paying full price . Like don’t get me wrong the mpc one+ looks dope too but it seems a lot more complex / involved to use

      @@haus05I'm not sure what NI's plans are for the Maschine going forward but if you do get the Plus and a new model is launched, you can always try to resell it. Every time a new iPhone model was announced, that's what I used to do with mine. If there's a will, there's a way.

    I dont think it's worth it for Me, I just dont think that a stand alone pad based music device can do. I have a MPK49 MPK249, and MPK Mini and they all work good with Reason.

    • @jaunti
      @jaunti  Před 7 měsíci +1

    • @HOLLASOUNDS
      @HOLLASOUNDS Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@jaunti Its not about what gives Me comfort it's that I been using Reason for nearly 20 years, mainly because I like there Rack system which was originally bassed off of how real hardware works. As time goes on there newer devices have become less realistic but to Me sounds good. There there DAW has some problems for example I dont like the sequencer zoom function it's very annoying, to use, Ableton is a better DAW in terms of sequencer workflow. Another problem I'm having with Reason DAW is the search not functioning correctly, I'll open up a sample folder with 10 sub folders and only two will show. Basically makes the in DAW navigation pointless as I can use windows search faster and drag and drop but I dont like comming out of the DAW in the middle of a session every time I want to use a 3rd party sample. I bang on about how I use Reason all the time but that dont mean I'm 100% satisfied and perhaps if I try Machine one day it might be a better workflow.

    They’re worth it for every penny at their current price. However, would I recommend them absolutely not. you’re gonna hit a wall doesn’t mean you won’t be able to make music, but you’re gonna desire to do other things that the ecosystem simply doesn’t support. Will be you will be waiting for Native Instruments to make major updates that will not come even in this video. You heard him mention update they have been on version two since I first purchased my machine studio back in like 2014. Yes, they have made some updates, but not to full version three. When you look at the updates, Ableton and FO studio have made and compare them to the updates, Native Instruments has made with machine. It doesn’t compare. For anyone looking to get started my personal recommendation is to stay away from Native Instruments unless you’re getting their sounds go with Akia or FL if you want hardware, integrated with software. Personally, I think the push three is the best option simply because it’s connected to a full DAW. In terms of the best groove box you still have to consider Maschine it is super fun and straightforward but again, you will hit a wall
