Jimmy Barnes rocked out as a young man - now he does so much "blue-eyed soul" as it used to be called. Has such a great voice with so much gravel.
This is a masterpiece.
That's our beloved Jimmy Barnes - pride of Australia! He's an absolute legend
Joe sure does make that guitar sing. I’ve been a huge fan of jimmy for over 40 years now. He was the very first person I saw live in concert when I was 14 years old. I even named my first son after him
I live in Upstate N.Y. where Joe is from; he was playing out when he was 12 years old; I thank all the younger guys like him, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Johnny Lang for sticking to what they love and bringing the Blues to new generations. This seems right in your groove, T 😎
Love Jimmy Baaaaarrrrnneeessss.. finding raw rough voices nowadays is so hard.... so everyone finding Jimmy for the first time.... this won't be your last time...
The King of Australia. the band that Australians listen to. Cold Chisel. well worth a delve. I spent the 1980s listening to crappy cassette tapes of Cold Chisel that my mates and family would bring back from Australia.
Thank you - I knew you would like it - you have done Jimmy for me before singing with John Farhnam ' When something is wrong with my baby' from quite a few years before this - he does another song with Joe Bonamassa on guitar (US guitarist) a cover of Deep Purple I think called 'Lazy' it is also an amazing listen - (I think Jimmy's daughter Mahalia sings in Joe's band) - Jimmy has had a long and amazing career here - His 'Cold Chisel' days were epic - the music of my youth - late 70's - 80's
Thank you! Loving it!Good pick.
Brilliant.truly brilliant.
Thanks for putting in this request Mary.I haven't heard this before and I love it! Can't stop listening to it.
It's just pure perfection and talent.👍
I never really appreciated Jimmy in my youth, but as I've aged,I now do.
I've revisited some of his big hits, and they literally give me goosebumps to listen too.
This is now a favourite of mine.
Jimmy's son Jackie was on drums in this track.
This music GRABS your soul..... Wonderful!! 👏
He’s one of Australia’s best ever singers bro, glad you enjoyed
Jimmy is a vocal legend in Australia, and Joe is a guitar legend in the USA! I’d suggest watching Cold Chisel(he was frontman) doing their cover of Wild Thing in 1983!
Jimmy Barnes and INXS did a great tune together..Good Time Tonight..put it on the list bro...Great reaction to this tune,Bonamassa can seriously play..
That video brought me to Jimmy Barnes and Joe Bonamassa's Song "Drive" the rest is sweet history..🎧😎❤
You should react to Jimmy Barnes singing with deep purple "when a blind man cries" very soulful
Whether singing rock, soul or blues, Jimmy always sings with so much feeling in his voice
Joe Bonamassa's videos are never blocked... you really need to explore the awesome talent that is Joe Bonamassa (he has 33 albums ) Check him out with Beth Hart.
I'm so happy that people's minds are opening about music. It is a universal language and can come from anywhere and either be fantastic aggravating.
Planet Earth is coming together. Let's choose the one that keeps us growing together and enjoying all that each has to offer.
There is SO MUCH!
🔥 🔥 What a Jam 🎸 👏
The last track on Joe's album, 'Driving Towards the Daylight', is Barnes singing 'Too Much Ain't Enough'.
One of the absolute most killer tunes I've ever listened to. I'm 65
Jimmy is a force of nature
Excellent! From the same session. Check out them doing Deep Purple- Lazy. AMAZING!
Yes, definitely Lazy
I like comments in the middle...if I want the whole track I can just go straight to it. If I want comment I want comment...opinion etc...well done am enjoying your reactions.
Joe is a damn animal, saw him live in the UK a few years ago, my face is still melting
WOW what a banger 👌👌👌 - cant wait for mine.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Understandable an American wouldnt know an Australian artist , but to not know who Joe Bonamassa is is criminal. He has to be one of the top blue's 5 guitarists of all time. You got a lot of catching up to do man.
Just a bit of info/ trivia lol on Joe and how his name pronounced - and I’m Australian lol. Joe (Bon-a-massa) born in New York is an American blues rock guitarist, singer and songwriter. He started his career at age 12, when he opened for B.B. King.
I Love Joe and Jimmy together. Jimmy born Scotland emigrated to Australia with family aged 6.
Great review, they are brilliant together. 😊
Wow!!
This song gives the absolute feels. I LOVE IT! Always have. 🇦🇺
Ps Originally recorded on the album with an artist by the name of Tina Arena. Strangely she isn’t featured in the video made for the song.
Check out Joe and Jimmy's version of the Deep Purple song Lazy. They absolutely blow it away.
Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham on Hey Hey it’s Saturday is so so good live.
You seem to love some good Australian music.
Check out Matt Corby!
Great reaction, Jimmy’s daughter Mahalia is a background vocalist in Joe’s band.
Barnsey at his best. With the legend that is Joe Bonamassa!
One of my favourite Barnsey tracks...but of course US Joe makes it!
What a great reaction. Just loved it 😊
Perfect song to slow dance in the kitchen with the person you love.
The version of this song he does as a duet with Tina Arena is quite good also.
Love being a part of "your Family"You got yourself 2 JB'S: Joe Bonamassa and Jimmy Barnes!! Joe at the age of 12 opened up for BB King..Gotta check out his mega hit: "Drive"
Beautiful🥳
I love this track. Only 400 views! What!
You absolutely have to hear Australias Vanessa Amorosi singing i am woman the Aria awards and natural woman. Incredible.
Hey Mate I Know you did this awhile ago but some facts. He's in his 70's been doing this for 50 years. This was recorded in his studio barn in the back yard also as you can see they are separated due to covid. Also the drummer is his son and backing vocals are wife and daughters. Enjoy more. Also he was lead singer of a band name Cold Chisel check out flame trees.
Ya..I agree
Joe never blocks his videos.
Checkout Joe Bonamassa and Beth Heart "I'd Rather Go Blind" Live in Amsterdam. I think u will like it too.
Don't be shy about checking out the guitar player as he is one of the BEST you will ever hear. Joe is no bum either.
Perfection 👌
Btw..your play back..is excellent.. Thanks
You should really check out Mahalia Barnes(Jimmy's Daughter). She has her daddy's pipes. Joe B. on guitar & sings also. Joe Bonamassa - Riding With The Kings - From Live
Very good 👍
Excellent! Jimmy has a bunch of good videos on you tube. Check out the duet with Tina Turner, "Simply the Best" and the duet with John Farnham, "When Something is Wrong With My Baby". Old school R+B at it's best...
I smell burning guitar strings.
man oh man lol
Nice !!!!!
He is 65 years old in this video and if you think his voice is powerful here just wait until you hear him 30 to 40 years ago try reacting to Driving Wheels it is one of his early solo songs way back in the 80,s.
If it weren't for the blues rock n roll as we know it wouldn't be -M.T-
🔥
you're A good worthy DJ
watchjimmy duetting with tina on 'the best'
One of my favourites with Tina and Jimmy singing brilliantly and having so much fun together 👍
you might like the vids of young Jimmy with Tina Turner "Simply the Best"
Do Lazy With Joe And Jimmy you will freak out. It is a cover Of the Deep Purple song!!
Thanks for the reaction to some Aussie tunes.. more would be greatly appreciated, please do some Nick Cave (this one references stone cold : czcams.com/video/bgj5MCzqri8/video.html)
Or maybe start with some bad seeds stuff to ease yourself in,... Cold chisel is iconic here, but Nick Cave is next level awesome.. who else from Australia gets covered by Metallica, Iggy pop, Johnny cash and the Arctic monkeys plus many more?
When ever you get there, no rush.. 🤘
Check out his daughter Mahalia and Joe in riding with the kings
Please Please react to Jimmy Barnes and Joe Bonamassa doing a Deep Purple song called Lazy. If you say you like this song you will love Deep Purple song lazy.
Check out Gary Moore, Still have the blues. Guitar vituoso
Lazy, with Joe Bonamassa / Jimmy Barnes is a killer. Jimmy Barnes does Mustang Sally. Check out Joe B. with Beth Hart doing I'd Rather Go Blind.. Try it..... You'll like it
Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa I'd rather go blind live, Stevie Ray Vaughan Texas flood live, ACDC ride on 😊😊
Great reaction mate. Deep dive Jimmy Barnes and become a CZcams star my friend.
