To itself only, but not the games, there's like tillion Sonic Universes due to Archie. Seriously though. If Sonamy happened to be canon in the general universe, it'd ruin Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog is free like the wind, He wants to live single as usual we see him. If Sonic is for Romance, why didn't we see him with any girls kissing each other in Sonic game or having a girlfriend? Romance like Sonamy would ruin Sonic the Hedgehog series like I'd said. His adventures, his actions, his great moments without the romance including in it. It's an important reason why I also like Sonic to being single forever.
