    Homemade Pakistani Shawarma Recipe
    1. Dough Making
    Ingredients:
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 tsp sugar
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1 tbsp instant yeast
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    3/4 cup warm water
    Instructions:
    In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder,yeast and sugar.
    Add olive oil and gradually add warm water while mixing.
    Knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic.
    Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
    2. Roti Making
    Ingredients:
    Prepared dough
    Instructions:
    Divide the dough into small balls.
    Roll each ball into a thin, round shape using a rolling pin.
    Heat a griddle or a pan over medium heat.
    Cook each roti for about 1-2 minutes on each side or until brown spots appear.
    Keep the rotis warm by wrapping them in a cloth.
    3. Red Sauce Making
    Ingredients:
    2 tomatoes, chopped
    1 red bell pepper, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tsp red chili powder
    1 tbsp vinegar
    Salt to taste
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    Instructions:
    Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
    Add chopped tomatoes, red bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until soft.
    Add red chili powder, vinegar, and salt. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
    Blend the mixture until smooth. Let it cool.
    4. White Sauce Making
    Ingredients:
    1/2 cup yogurt
    2 tbsp mayonnaise
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 tsp lemon juice
    Salt to taste
    Black pepper to taste
    Instructions:
    In a bowl, mix yogurt, mayonnaise, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
    Stir until well combined. Refrigerate until needed.
    5. Chicken Making
    Ingredients:
    500g boneless chicken breast, thinly sliced
    2 tbsp yogurt
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    1 tsp garlic paste
    1 tsp ginger paste
    1 tsp cumin powder
    1 tsp coriander powder
    1 tsp paprika
    1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    Salt to taste
    2 tbsp olive oil
    Instructions:
    In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, garlic paste, ginger paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, paprika, turmeric powder, black pepper, and salt.
    Add chicken slices and marinate for at least 1 hour.
    Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
    Cook the marinated chicken until fully cooked and slightly charred.
    6. Salad
    Ingredients:
    1 small cabbage, thinly sliced
    1 large carrot, grated
    1 cucumber, thinly sliced
    1 small onion, thinly sliced
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    Salt and pepper to taste
    Instructions:
    In a large bowl, combine cabbage, carrot, cucumber, and onion.
    Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Toss well.
    7. Assembling the Shawarma Wrap
    Instructions:
    Take a roti and spread a layer of red sauce.
    Add a generous amount of cooked chicken in the center.
    Top with salad and drizzle white sauce over it.
    Fold the sides of the roti and roll it up tightly into a wrap.
    Optionally, you can grill the wrap on a panini press or a griddle for a few minutes to make it crispy.
