  • By request, I put together this video from several trips to Canada, primarily in 1990 and 1995 covering Maine, New Brunswick, and a bit of Quebec not included in the "Sherbrooke Thunder" "Lac Megantic" and "last day of the Sherbrooke Sub" videos. I only ever shot one CP train in Maine in daylight, and the Onawa trestle shot was taken while spending all day waiting and no train ever showed up. The New Brunswick footage was part of the 1990 trip that made up the bulk of the first two videos mentioned above.

The inline 6 chugging from the RS23s sounds so satisfying but i don't know the words as to why

The C-424's are so weathered the 4202 lost a digit on the cab side and is now the 420. Good stuff ☺️👍

+Bill Groder Greenville branch owned by the Bangor and Aroostook and it went to derby shops in milo, and they closed it after the main bridge bunker brook I believe was embargoed and it was to light to run most units over so 2 BL2's had the ballast removed to eliminate the weight the 52 and 54 I believe.

at 11:45 looks like he's refilling the water tank on that M630. Definitely one of the major issue on those MLWs was the leaking cooling system and it's neat to see that somebody caught this on camera.

The line was sold to a short line operator in 1995. It has passed through 2 more owners since then. Google "Lack Megantic derailment" for more info.
