That white box was a sewing box in the 70’s. I have two avocado green ones that I use for recipes

I went into the Arc thrift store recently-holy-moly the prices are out of this world. They wanted $10 for a glass jar and $15 for a ceramic bunny.

Hi! The plastic box (9:44)! I had one just like it has a child. Mine had a tray--it was a sewing box!
The new color is great. Wish you would have left the key holes brass to match the handles. Also maybe paint the top edge of the pull down part of the desk. All in all a great job Jami♥️

I have the same beige plastic container. Mine has a tray and is a sewing box. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. I also have the wood caddy with bottle opener on the end. Need ideas.

New sub here, and I have to tell you how much I love seeing a mr & mrs team going out thrifting together!! The mr always finds the box full of fasteners and tools, while the mrs scores good finds in the home decor. What a wonderful mix of great stuff to flip! We have an old desk just like the one you painted. Until now, I had never thought to paint it such a beautiful modern green color. 💚

I had a desk similar to yours which was an Eastlake brand from the late 1800s-early 1900s. Yours might be one too. There may be a label or mark on the back. Good find!

*Zeb, what a fantastic HAUL on all of the fasteners, tools, and that wonderful old 100 foot metal measuring tape box lot you found‼️👏👏👏 You also found that fabulous wooden compartmentalized tote with the metal handle...I think that is one of the BEST TOTES I HAVE EVER SEEN, and I can't wait to see how you upcycle it. Might be a great picnic caddy to take condiments, flatware, serving pieces and napkins outside to the table. 😊*
