I am Dutch, and when I was in the Dutch version of high school our English teacher believed in learning a language by surrounding yourself with it...
A few ways he would implement this was by having us watch English spoken movies with the subtitles in English as well, and by having us listen to and translate English songs...
So one day, we were in English class and listening to The Stones' "paint it black", now all the doors in our school were red, and a buddy of mine always had a couple of cans of spray paint in his backpack... Whilest the first notes of Paint it black were ringing from the speakers that day, from the corner of my eye I catch him going through his backpack....
You probably guessed it by now, right?
Yeah, he pulled out a can of black spray paint, walked up to the that red classroom door, and painted it black.... when the teacher asked him (whilest trying to hide his smile) what he thought he was doing, he answered, in the most Dutch accented English I have ever heard spoken, "I see a red door, and I just painted it black"...
At that the teacher burst out laughing and said "well, at the very least you understood the lyrics"...
his only punishment was having to help the schools maintenance worker paint the door red again...
But, Paint it black has been one of my most loved songs ever since, though I have never been able to listen to it without that memory flashing through my mind.

Every piece of music I hear from Ren is another example of his sheer talent. They are all relevant and relatable. It is so easy to hide who you really are from the public, but his honesty and openness about his struggle say a lot about his inner strength as an individual. Everything he produces is so polished and just GOOD, but it doesn't shy away from ugly things, from TRUTH. No one is like Ren. My faith in Humanity as a whole hasn't changed, but my faith in the individual, individuals like Ren, is renewed and reaffirmed. I've known people like this in my personal life, just overflowing with LIFE and the will to DO. It is a privilege I don't take lightly because I've also known the other side of that coin. Hate, violence, fear, illness, pain. I will bear those scars for the entirety of my life. The only thing that has eased the ache, the grief, the guilt and shame is music and art. To have those two things come together in a single person is cathartic on a level I didn't know was possible. So, once again, thank you Ren ❤️
I just keep coming back for more! I cant stop! True to the original sound and feel, yet so authentic in its own way.
I am going to miss this band, you were perfect together and I hope you are going to get together once again in the future. I love your solo pieces as well, so I’ll stay tuned for next masterpieces!

You are not only the most incredible busking band, but one of the most incredible group. Your energy, interection, everything is perfect. Lately I have been addicted to RHCP, not only for their music, but for the friendship they show among them, and you transmit the same feeling. I think that many people will reach this video now because of Ren and his new moment. Hope everything will work fine for him and, who knows, one day you can all get reunited again.

My heart is so f broken right now. I can't even begin to explain how much you guys mean for me, for my music and my life. I'm from Argentina and traveling to another country is Very expensive so I never had the chance to see you live (and it was one of my biggest dreams, trust me). I know that if you are going different ways is becayse you really thought about it and it is the best for All of you but I can't help being so sad.
Anyway, thanks for all of these wonderfull years of music and love. I am gonna keep recomending your art to everyone I know and I'm going to support all of you in this new phase.
