I almost experienced the same thing. I was sweet-talked into paying deposit first for a house I had not seen and people I didn't know. While I was about to type my mpesa pin someone walked in and pumped some sense into my brain. I think Mpesa needs to do something may be allow 2 days refund even if the thief has withdrawn..😉😉
I proposed this feature to the engineering team
It cannot happen since the money is already gone that means that the mpesa agent is going to sacrifice his/her money and it cannot happen
In Nairobi do not send money to purported agents (scammers) until you verify the location of the house and you have physically viewed it.
