To see a young girl shake her head like I did 30 years ago makes me feel a little better about the world. Merry Christmas.
🖤 agree
💯🤘
We in Russia was waiting for them for very very long time. And that is why it was that energetic.
Off their 2nd album Ride The Lightning.......you shoud check it out..ohhhh yurrrr!! And they are playing in The USSR
This is just one of many reasons why Metallica are The Undisputed Kings of Music 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘…..next one to blow you away; “Disposable Heroes” live in Mexico 2009….you will be craving for more Metallica….Merry X-mas 🎄
I'll gladly dispute it. 🤣
*were* the undisputed kings of metal, anyway.
The song is about God punishing slavers in Egypt during passover, they were accused of being devil worshippers but they actually hated addiction, war & slavery they didn't hate God at all. Blessings from Puerto Rico.
the chorus is
"So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first-born Pharaoh son
I'm creeping death
Die by my hand
I creep across the land
Killing first-born man"
Mettalica !!! Let's Go !!
You should checkout the song "Harvester of sorrow" from this same concert.. one of favs from Metallica. 😎🤘
I remember when I first learned to play this song I thought I was such hot shit, lol. When you play it right and get proficient at it you feel like you're playing at a hundred miles per hour, playing the heaviest riff in the world. Then I set out to learn Master of Puppets.......
Try doing Fight Fire with Fire or Damage Inc.....drums are my instrument I have played for 37 years..👉🏻👉🏻 I have about collapsed a few times.....all good..
GREAT DIRECTION VERDY!! SINCE YOU REALLY ENJOY METALLICA'S LIVE PERFORMANCES, I SUGGEST YOU TO REACT TO "MASTER OF PUPPETS" IN QUEBEC. ENJOY IT!!! 🤘🏼🎶
5:33 - your face is my spirit animal! 🤘😁
MASTER OF PUPPETS GIRL - IT - WILL - BLOW - YOUR - MIND XX
And they are still playing this on their tour now. ❤
Эта пестня продержалась в Биллбоард топ 30 др 1990 года!..))))) Это гимн старого трэш металла))
You need the whole Monsters of rock Moscow 1991. All the bands are awesome.
I think the crowd didn't understand Hetfield, and they were shouting "DA!" (Да!) instead of "Die" witch means "Yes!" in Russian.)
This concert and Seattle '89 are the best two concerts ever performed
at least which are filmed! Even if I think the Seattle concert is one of the greatest ever by Metallica, I would pick a concert from the Cliff Era!
Happy Easter ..Merry Passover
This is Exodus from the perspective of the Angel of death.
Verdy, check out Pantera performing Domination from the same concert if you want something really heavy!
This is my first time seeing this footage from Moscow. Rocking right along with you on this one. 🤟
If you want to try another song from this concert I highly suggest Harvester of Sorrow. Epic performance
Real deep vibe from the croud... next level must see. Totally agree!
Happy Metal Christmas, Verdy! Thank you so much! 🤘🏻
If you didn't grow up in this time period (I was in High School when this concert happened) it can be difficult to understand what this, the crowd's energy and size was all about. This was the Monsters of Rock concert that was organized after the fall of the Berlin wall, and collapse of the Soviet Union. Western albums for these groups had been black market for decades and the people of the former Soviet Union finally saw that change. It was a crazy period of hope after what we thought was the end of the cold war, and this was just one of those iconic moments of the energy of that period. Again, it is just hard to understand unless you were around in the time period before and during all these events. It was an amazing period at that time. Sadly, I rarely see reactions to this video/concert, that even mention what exactly led to this moment/concert but it is important to have that context to truly appreciate it.
Ça fait drôle de voir les jeunes s'intéresser au Metal des années 90 :)
I noticed yu hear the music not just looking atcrowg good job
Hi Verdy, Metallica is one of my favorite bands (until the "Black Album"), thanks for reacting to them 🤘. In fact this song is included in the album Ride the Lightning, for me the best album of the band along with Master of Puppets.
Maybe you could listen to this full album, it's much more digestible than their first album and songs like Escape, The Call of Ktulu (Lovecraft wink 🐙) or Fade to Black you will surely like.
It is a masterpiece of thrash metal. 😵💫
As you can tell, Black Album haters are morons and liars.
awesome reaction video, i really enjoyed it! 🙂
They used to be like sons of anarchy…now they’re like dads of anarchy 😂🎸🔥🥞
Granddads but not of anarchy, that's Motorhead...
@@scs3973 😂
One of my fave performances !!!!
1.600.000 !
for sure none of the guys founding Met in 81 thought this would happen that early in history
kneel down and praise the bay area KINGS ! ! !
Hi, new sub 😁 loved your reactions to this concert. You seemed to enjoy the solos so I wanted to tell you of an equally epic solo/performance at this same show by Dimebag Darrel of the band Pantera playing their song Domination. You won't regret it
Seattle 1989 arguably their greatest concert. Recommend Master of puppets or battery. Really anything from that concert was peak everything.
Ride The Lightning
"Harvester of sorrow" by Mettalica in Moscow is a must! Sorry for my english, I'm french!
Thanks for your reaction. You think that it's a big crowd ?--we only see the part of it facing the stage. If you want to see it all, look for Monsters of rock Moscow 1991 riots. It's what happened when the show started & before the bigger bands came on stage. It's a bit violent & bloody, though. But you'll see the whole 1.6 million crowd by helicopter. Nice sweater, by the way--I lived in Sherbrooke from 1986 until 1992. Have a nice day.
That was very good good and I agree with you and your reaction. I had not heard that Metallica song before. I would ask if I could recommend the band "Queensrÿche", Eyes of a Stranger
NEWSTED 😈🤘
Hi Verdy Merry Christmas dear.
So let it be written, so let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
To kill the first born pharaoh son
I'm creeping death 🤘😎🤘
Are You ready for "Fade to Black" ?
If you want to see a great solo Check out Pantera "Domination" from the same concert.
There is something (especially now, in early 2023) in 1,5 MILLION Russians chanting DIE, DIE, DIE!
J'aime vraiment tes réactions aux différentes musiques que tu découvre, je te suis pour chacune d'elles. Pour Metallica les meilleures albums à mon point de vue sont Ride the ligntning, Master of Puppets et And justice for all.
This crowd was epic.... But the best live performance of this song was Download 2004. Watch it and you'll see why haha!
I saw this live when I was 13 when this took place, and Pantera was the biggest act there, period......
VERDY great job with your reaction and thoughts on The live performance of Creeping Death from Metallic live in Moscow in 1991 that year l finish Highschool and it was pretty cool why? Say 1991 backwards.
I think Metallica is still the only band to have played a concert on every continent after doing a small show on Antarctica.
I really like you and your reactions, it just needs to be much louder.
This show is interesting just for the fact that it was the first time Russia let in bands from the west. It is probably safe to say that most of the Russian audience here didn’t know any of the songs by any of the bands they saw. Given this, it would be worth your time to check out another performance of this song so you can see how an audience that actually knows Metallica and their songs so you can see how audiences usually react during this song. This is always one of the huge sing along moments in their concerts, and the Russian audience were clueless because they’d never heard this stuff before. No need to do a reaction video to it, but check out a different version, especially a more recent one, hopefully in the US or Canada and you’ll see what I mean. It is a sight to see, and is even better when you’re in the house with everyone. Crazy energy. James had to coach them here, but he usually doesn’t have to because all the fans already do it all on their own.
That’s not Cliff Richard and Elton John played there in the 70s in the 80s Billy Joel ,Uriah Heep also there was the Moscow music peace festival in 1989 that had Bon Jovi, Ozzy Osbourne, Scorpions , Motley Crue ,Cinderella and Skid Row
@@robertphelps1574 My mistake! This 1989 show was what I had in mind, but did not remember that it was 1989. For some reason I thought this Metallica set was part of that festival. Foggy memory, hehe.
Watching the band feel it too. They totally knew this was some next level shiz. Had to uphold back in the west too, that heavey metal genre is an expression to be moved by, like any other other music or art. But this band wrote about the worse possible situations to be in and still be alive, living hells.. taking stories and trying to feel it, then show it to you... or be there when if you're living it? We were meant to watch this footage and be moved.. Cheers Clayton for bringing this up bud!
please do more Metallica reactions!!
I make it easy for you anything before the black album his Gold you can pass on the other stuff
She has posters from BTS on the walls. I think she might actually like black and afterwards more than their earlier stuff, which was way more raw.
@@TheAlja I'm actually severely visual impaired so I can't tell what she has up on her walls
Love your reaction videos but your volume on the videos and your mic needs to be turned up just a little. Thank you for reacting !!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a Metallica fan, but people need to get real. All these People are t all there for Metallica. There were other bands too. So many reaction videos and everyone saying it's was Metallica crowd. It wasn't.
Does someone need a hug
@@jamesmoxley671 I will ask the lady that birthed you for that.
If I can give you an honest suggestion when they suggest you performances in the comments that are not from 85 92 their peak live search for the live version of the same song in that time span I can swear on everything it will be 1000 times better such aggression and best live performances just can't be compared to any other period of Metallica live
This would have been great if there was enough volume so it can be heard!
New Metallica song is awesome. Lux Aeterna.
It's kinda like a biblical song from Them if you really listen to the lyrics it " Goes to Kill the first pharaohs son "
Not 'kinda,' it's taken directly from the book of Exodus and the story of Moses and passover. The band was watching the Charlton Heston movie The Ten Commandments, during the scene where the green mist descends Cliff said something about it looking like creeping death. That's where the song comes from. I'm no bible scholar but all the lyrics refer to that.
No like it is EXODUS
Do some slayer
Holy crap, this is only your second Metallica reaction. You poor child. Peace/JT
Check out what was happening in Russia at the time & You will understand
Please please check out Metallica haverster of sorrow - Moscow 1991, the same concert.
Please react rage againt the machine
acdc pantera metallica
Metallica is the REAL deal...
Interesting to see the black album bashing considering that's the album that made them historic legends in music, rather than just the best of their genre to be all but forgotten a few decades later. I prefer the earlier stuff too, but black album was a) their best produced album, and b) the album that sealed their legacy.
The Black Album was great, it just got WAY overplayed. Everything after that was really hit or miss for me, with way too many misses.
@Jon Late definitely overplayed, if I never hear nothing else matters again, I'd be fine with that, only because I've heard it too many times. In my opinion any 1 of the first 5 albums is better than anything since, which is sad cause it means they all, even james, blew their wad 30 years ago :(
@@jonlate4581 ^
Look what real music is. The kpop sht you listen is nothing infront of metal/rock
that is weird him saying die and about 22 people died in that concert.💚🎸🤘 but with over a million people there you had to expect something.
Just for the record. AC/DC was headlining this concert😤😤😜😝😎💪💪😁😁
not much of a sound in my headphones....
Hard hearing the video , how about cranking it up a wee bit........🙂
Do you play football
