12 YEARS LATE | Cutting The Frame Apart On The Chevy C10

- Today, just a mere 12 years later we finally dig into our Chevy C10. The previous owner started putting it on air ride. That's not what I want, so we are switching it back to coilover suspension.
First step in that process is straightening out the massive rear frame notch that was installed. No need for that much clearance anymore so I would like to get some room back in the pickup bed. So we chop the frame apart today and sport that out.
This will be a fun project to get rolling.

She got up to let me know she wanted a snack. She’s utterly disinterested in the Chevy. Haha.

Fantastic job as always, if Sasha is back on Quality Control, perhaps you need to get Sasha her own pair of welding goggles LOL. Are you cordless batteries getting old or do you just need to treat yourself to higher capacity units, as it’s no fun when you are reliant on your charger. Great idea to use the lazer to cut the cardboard template, Genius. Keep up the great work. 😎👍
Yeah, that was strange with her. Normally she doesn't come near me while I'm welding so we'll have to keep an eye on her.
I'm just running 5 amp hour batteries so the grinder burns through them. They work fine on impacts and drills but grinders are just consumers. So maybe grab a bigger one now (at the time the 5 amp was the biggest from Harbor Freight).
@@LostCauseRanch I think she would look good sporting a pair of welding goggles. A bigger battery pack will add more weight, might be worth just investing in another couple of batteries and charger to suit. 😎👍

It is nice to have all the stuff. Almost back to the amount of tools when I bought this thing haha.

Do you not worry about Sasha getting 'arc eye' from the welding when she's in the shop?
She normally stays across the shop. I honestly didn’t even know she came over until I was looking at the footage.
