I'm not sure what to be more concerned about. The fact that Yukiko made an omelette taste bland after she stuffed an entire grocery store of ingredients in it, or that Rise made an omlette so spicy that she knocked out the FIRE WIELDING PERSONA USER.
I'm glad Nanako didn't get a persona. She'd make the game way too easy if she's able to choke down Chie, Rise's, and Yukiko's cooking while keeping a smile on her face.
The strength of heart used to overcome lifes hardships has been made manifest. Nanako has received the persona “Literally God.”
I'm pretty sure Yukiko's bad with spicy food to begin with.

Persona 4 was the best one out of all 5 of them for me.
Agreed 3 was a bit of a downer, I couldn’t see myself as a character in 5 , and 1,2, &EP are pretty much their own things.
The funny thing is, they can't cook. One is terrible, another is plain and the last is spicy as hell. But Maria? She creates something that LITERALLY MOVES in your stomach! ("If it melts, it'll run away", her exact words). And yet? It's delicious to the point Yu devours it rabidly.
They can cook....if strictly supervised by Naoto and they use a cookbook. Its not so much they cant cook, as they just don't have the skill. Or an understanding of the basics. Or that if you won't taste the food you're cooking, you probably shouldn't serve it to another.
- Rise was always on the move, so she probably got a lot of food that was quick and easy to make, but not very flavourful, so she'd add some spice to it. She's probably cooked for her grandmother, but I wouldn't be surprised if she had long lost her sense of taste.
- Yukiko lives in an inn, there are plenty of chefs to cook meals there, she's never had the need to cook for herself until now. Okay, she might think that certain foods might "depth of flavour" because they're the same colour, but the fact is she is willing to learn...even if she keeps failing.....looking at the lunches ending from P4Arena.
- Chie...okay, some people can't cook if their lives depended on it...Chie is one of them.

Bless Nanako for being such a sweet angel for saying that the Mystery Food X girls' omurices (omelette with fried rice) taste good and trying to still be polite! Most kids I know are quite harsh judges. They'll easily say what they're really thinking. Seriously, watching the Mystery Food X chefs cook really makes me cringe. And I'm a girl and I know how to cook well. I've made both curry rice and omurice and I find both really hard to fail at. Rise, what a waste of foie gras! It's expensive! And not to mention the fact that the delicate flavor of foie gras is masked heavily by the spiciness! For Persona 4, if you want a good meal, leave that to Naoto (the only good cook of the girls) and the guys (especially Yu and Kanji)
Ok so not Counting Yu here's my verdict:
1# Yukiko: Tasteless a Waste of ingredients but not horrible i could see her having pontential
2# Chie: Bad but not lethal at very least her meal did have some taste
so there's a chance
3# Rise: Horrible Too Spicy and Lethal to put it simply don't let her get near the stove

On the game Persona Q, in order to defeat a powerful enemy (and unlock further the near last dungeon) they combine all the meals made by the girls of the investigation team + Fuuka. The result: with that concoction they killed that enemy with one shot.

@@sadam-kd5ug Mitsuru and Yukari never did any type of homemade food so they didn't participate. I think that if Mitsuru would even try something like Kikuno would step in and intervene
The Ultimate Version called Mystery Food X The Final Edition is actually Naoto ideal, using Yukiko's Bento + Chie's Muffin + Rise's Cookies + Fuuka's Onigiri.
While it one shooted the enemy, Kaiji did take a friendly fire hit from MFXFE and survive
After seeing this clip, they definitely did a great job on the console remasters released recently.

3rd: Chie. Yeah, it tastes bad, but as Yosuke says, at least it didn't cause casualties, it's edible. It could easily turn into a second dose of Mystery Food X.
4th: Rise. We understand your main food knowledge is from Sichuan and Guizhou (if you look up the tofu suggestions she makes in her first encounter, you'll see that's what she suggests), both regions well known for *spicy* food, but when the food is so hot it knocks out the fire mage of the party... Yeah.
