Hi Andy, here goes ... I have the FMS 1700mm Super Cub. It's the only electric foamy I have. Here is what you are in for. It flies very well and it's great on floats. However, foam planes don't stay looking new very long. The paint rubs off and foam, by its very nature is soft and marks easy. The plastic parts on my Super Cub are crap ... brittle and easily broken. The floats are not waterproof and the rudder servo will crap out when it gets wet. Put some silicon around the pushrod exit. Next: my all time favorite plane is an old Astrohog with a K&B .61 two smoker. I can easily burn a gallon of fuel in a weekend but I mix my own fuel and most of my engines run fine without nitro. I buy Klotz Super Techniplate oil by the gallon and Methanol at the hardware. $27.00 Canadian per gallon mixed and ready to fly. If I need some nitro in the hot summer I just mix it half and half with 15% store bought. Happy landings!!!
Andy, let me be the first to officially sat that you are: “Weird”. I am still eager to go flying with you and our other friends when it works out. Great video.
Looks great andy! I love the older kits we used to build and fly. I still remember watching the CG sukhoi advertisement flight on VHS. I remember watching that thing pull a vertical up line, do a snap and continue going up. I was young but watching that happen was just amazing to me at the time. Great memories these aircraft bring back.
Dad had the ranger and liked it a lot in his later years. Props to fms when the nose wheel broke and they sent him a replacement within a few days to get him back in the air for free. It now hangs in my little brother's place. Permanently retired in memory of dad. On another note I fly glow exclusively and last year I went through 5 gallons of gas. I mix my own at a average price of 20 bucks a gallon. Flying everything from 40 size up to my big moki 2 stroke glow engines. I fly most weekends with a few 3-4 day events thrown in. Nice sukhoi! I should get my down and get it back in the air.
Blast from the past. Built that plane in the mid 90"s when I lived in Bangkok. Flew it for years and loved it. Been flying the heck out of my CARF P47, probably will bring it to this years flyins. On my building bench is my Meister FW190D. 10 years in the build but 7 off those had it in storage. Goal is to finish it for maiden OCT/NOV. Keep building!!
I think its awesome you are going to review those FMS airplanes. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the 1700mm Cub. Looking forward to your videos on them.
Andy you are going to love that 1700mm pull the gyro out of it set it up with crow oh what fun have had one more than 2000 flights on it yes a prop esc and motor or three but fms hit it out of park I hope this channel makes money this is America baby and the best channel on you tube should get payed 👍✌️
Thanks for the update, love the glow stuff myself, it's just that little satisfying feeling when you get that engine running thats almost just as much fun as actually flying the thing 🤣👍 fantastic that we will now see some reviews that are NOT informercials 👍👍
I’ve been following your channel for a few years now. This channel and Frank’s Model Aviation are two valuable resources. Judgment is all too common these days. Especially for CZcams creators and the purists that are willing to put themselves out there for posterity’s benefit. Fact is that you never know what these videos can mean in the future. From this standpoint I’d urge anyone to monetize. You just don’t know what the future will bring.
Hey Andy, I enjoy watching your video. I just want to say I agree with you about the reviews. People always have to say something to stick their nose in. If you make something out of it, who gives a shit. You do what you like doing. If not, don't do it if someone asked me if I made money doing it I would say put it this way I make enough to stop work. 😅
Andy, I have just purchased a vintage Goldberg Sukhoi su26. I have an OS 1.20 surpass that’s new. Will it be a good fit? I’m not into 3D but I like a peppy flier.

That will fly it perfectly
Andy, hello. Hey, where is the plane that Buddy sold you? I haven't seen it.
Not sure what your referring to......
What did you use for elevator, rudder Ali. hinges? And what glo fuel you are you using?
Red max fuel and CA hinges
Way I see it our hobby is $$$ so if it's fuel they want to cry about may as well stay on the porch right
What went out on the P-40's engine?
Con rod bearing came apart.....took out the piston and cylinder
