    Thanks for the tips. Regarding your Levi’s hat, something similar happened to me, but as a buyer. Over a decade ago, a seller posted a signed Dwayne Wade rookie photo magazine cover, authenticated by GAI for $20. To this day, I cannot explain how others did not catch the auction. It sold for $20 and even remember the seller sent me a message stating that I did not have to buy it if I didn’t want to. 12 years later and it’s still hanging in my studio.

I think 400 or $500 cash or a total of 100 item or a high dollar tool tool couple of items made up all when I’m able to sell or list for the month. I tried to get an increase but got the it’s been less than 45 days so unfortunately your limits cannot be increased yet. No one has left me feedback either. Any suggestions or advice for someone on my situation? Thx and u just gained a new fan!

I usually run the items through a 7 day auction, with the price at what I think it would sell for or a little higher, looking to snag the buyer that was willing to pay more. Then if it doesn’t sell drop the price and list as a 7 day auction with a buy it now to buy the buyer in the position of buy it or lose it.

      If you started the auction at .99 cents and the auction ended and the person who won the auction won it for $2.50, you have to sell the shoes for that price. You cannot deny it. If the auction has not ended and there are bids and you end it, ebay will frown upon that. I would not do it.

      In the auction, did you have, or, buy it now and a price for buy it now? If not, I assume she made you an offer via an ebay message. If so, do not accept it. You would have to end the auction and get her to pay some other way than through ebay and ebay would not get their fee. They, of course, have access to all messages. If they found out you sold an item that was listed on ebay, off of ebay, they will probably suspend you or ban you from ever selling on ebay again.

      Thanks for watching and thanks for asking. It's never good to cancel a sold item. I would strongly advise against it. Remember, eBay is watching every move you make. When putting the item on auction, start the bidding at the lowest price you are willing to accept. If you have an item that is worth $100 and you expect to get that much for it, do not start the auction at $1. Because, if only one person bids on it at $1, you will have to sell it for that price. Thanks for the video. I've decide to put my vintage 1964 Rickenbacker guitar up for auction on EBay. Now, I have to learn how to do it. I'll be setting a reserve for around $7,000. I've owned this guitar for 51 years and it very well could be a one-of-a-kind. Do you have any tips on learning (I'm a beginner) how to begin the process? Thanks

    • @therefinedreseller275
      @therefinedreseller275  Před 3 lety +3

      Thanks for watching. That's interesting. I sold my 12 string Rickenbacker about six years ago. Here's what you need to do. Start an auction and run it for seven days. Start it on Sunday at 9pm Pacific time. That's because a huge number of people live on the west coast. If what you want to get is $7,000, I would not start the auction at say $2,000 with a reserve. I would just list with a $6,999 starting price. If it doesn't sell, relist it again and again. If you do that four times and it doesn't sell, you are probable asking too much. Next, list as a buy it now for the lowest price you're willing to acccept. Or, list it a little higher than that with best offer. I know you have an emotional attachment to it. But, sometimes sentimental items are not worth as much as we hope.
      Your other option is to look for a facebook group specifically dedicated to Rickenbacker guitars and sell it there. That way you won't have to pay a fee.
      Best of luck.

      @@therefinedreseller275 Thanks for your tips. I had the guitar professionally appraised around 10-11 yrs. ago. It was appraised at $5,000. I'm going to have an online appraisal very soon from Gruhn's Guitar in Nashville. They are a well known vintage guitar shop who also does professional appraisals. I need that for insurance, as well. If my guitar is truly a one-of-a-kind I realize there isn't another one to compare it to. A few years ago I contacted the president of Rickenbacker, John Hall, who said it is a 340S and was probably a special order from a customer. I also am aware..."it's only worth what someone is willing to pay you for it."
