  • What is going on here?
I have a large collection of retro PC hardware and games. I've decided to play each of the games for at least 1 hour to see how they are.
SimTower. I heard a lot of good things about this game and as far as I remember there is a remake of this game on Steam. This is the version 1.0 of this game running on Windows 3.11 I recently installed. It's quite a low stress game, you just watch elevator going up and down. I have a feeling like I need to micromanage the elevator but I couldn't figure that out yet. Before the next episode I might read the documentation and try to understand what needs to be done.
Again I think the CPU is struggling a little, especially when the fast mode is enabled, but not affecting the gameplay.
    Thanks for watching! Enjoy!

    Capture:
VGA output goes into a VGA Splitter. One cable connects to my monitor, and the other goes into the Gefen VGA to DVI Scaler. From there, a DVI to HDMI converter takes the signal into the Elgato GameCapture 4K60. As for sound, it's a bit simpler: a 3.5mm splitter; one side connects to my headphones, and the other goes to my capture PC'sFocusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen. Everything comes together in OBS.

    8/10 - Great!
I spent around an hour playing the game and it was very nice and calm. I think once I figure out how to manage the elevators things will get more interesting.
