Gave me a chuckle as well.
I've seen that too many times to be amused by something that simple. My favorite set of swaps in one game was the robber stole the werewolf, the troublemaker swapped the robber and the drunk, the drunk took a card the seer didn't see. Took them five minutes to both confirm each other and work out the order to decide that the werewolf was in the center.

I’m surprised no one took issue with Laurie’s claim that he went to sleep as the insomniac. That seems suspicious lol
He said it that way because an insomniac gets to look at their role at the end of the night and verify if they are still the Insomniac or changed to someone else so the way he said it actually supports his claim

I love how adam had all the info to solve the game and still confessed to stealing the werewolf card
he did not know that broke was lying about being the village idiot, at that moment he belived himself to be a rober
@@FernandoGonzalez-hu3id brooke had been backed up by sully who had just been revealed to be lying so if he had thought about it more it should be obvious that brooke was lying as well and he is the werewolf.

They did play classic Werewolf during the Zoom era once, if I recall. Jon ran the game.

I'm literally hosting my first board game night tonight and we're playing One Night Ultimate Werewolf...I planned this a week ago...looks like I made the right choice! Spooky!
Finally One Night Werewolf on NRB! This would be a great in-person series on its own every month - akin to BOTC (but cheaper since it can just be at the normal set in Draughts) -
BOTC could be done barebones

@@aron8999 It's a reference to two werewolf films. AAWIL is an absolute classic of the genre along with The Howling, famed for its incredible practical effects; AAWIP is its vastly inferior sequel, derided for its acting & CGI which was horrendous even for its time.

FYI you always want to keep the Tanner in the game imo, the Minion however is extremely weighted towards the Werewolves and with just 6 players is probably too powerful.
This is a 6-player setup I like, in their wake order: Alpha Wolf, Werewolf, Apprentice Seer (because Seer OP!), Robber, Witch, Troublemaker, Drunk, Insomniac + Tanner who doesn't wake.
That 3rd game was amazing. Multiple people realizing there were 0 Werewolves and then multiple people passing the Werewolf card around was truly glorious

I love this episode! This was so much fun and chaotic. The swapping of the same cards back and forth was just excellent to watch.

Obligatory "dammit, CZcams, just let me link to my Google Sheets!" disclaimer. So here are some updated statistics for BGC 2023, manually summarized by me's truly:
- After this video, Adam is now sitting at a 54.55% win-to-loss ratio, having won 6 games and lost 5.
- Brooke is now the current champion, at 55.56% success, having won 5 games and lost 4. All hail the Lord of the Board, long may she reign!
- Of those who have played more than one game so far, Laurie and Sullivan are tied for lowest scores at 36.36%, having each won 4 games and lost 7. Lucky for them, they're both on nearly every episode, so they have plenty of chances to catch up 😁
- Tom and Tilly each are the technical worst players so far, having each lost 1 game and played no others. Looks like "playing games" is a requirement for "winning games" after all 😉
- Dom's "I am the werewolf" has the same vibes as Isaac's "Laurie is my demon," and I am 100% here for it!
- On first watch, I thought Witch Rosie had given Adam the Village Idiot card, and I was really hoping to hear her say something along the lines of, "No, Adam, you are an idiot." Sadly, I tracked the cards wrong, and that never came to pass. Perhaps one day.
- Jon was not invited the one time the gang plays Werewolf? TRAVESTY!
- I said these were statistics, so maybe I should end on an actual statistic. Um... *checks spreadsheet* Holly remains at exactly 50% with 1 loss and 1 win. But after the charity livestream (which are not included in the win/loss numbers, because 10 hours...), she has increased the amount of gavels eaten by 100%, from 1 up to 2; so that's progress!
What if you link the sheet with a url shortner? Or maybe add some spaces to the URL? I'd like to see the spreadsheet.
@@vbkfivn If they reply with the URL, the comment will be deleted but you'll see it in your notifications. If it's shortened you should be able to type in the shortened one into your browser manually.
@@vbkfivn Welp, I tried getting around it by shortening the URL and then spelling out parts of it, but apparently CZcams has deleted that comment for simply spelling out certain parts of a URL at all 😒 So it looks like the best I can do is Tweet the link; you can find it on my Twitter (same username as here), but do note that I never use Twitter so I probably won't see any replies there.
If you're anyway manually tracking the data, you shouldn't count the last game as a win for the werewolves. The werewolves should have lost the last game. If the vote is tied, all players are executed and if at least one werewolf dies, the village wins.

I love this game because you never know which team your on and have no idea what your winning situation is, so not only do you have to figure out everyone else you have to figure out yourself 😂

Interesting fact: if mirror man and copycat are in the same script (role list) mirror man is supposed to take middle and copycat takes one of the sides. This is to prevent them picking the same one
Honestly I’m not the biggest fan of wrestling, but since his whatculture days I’ve been a huge fan of Adam. His fantasy booking videos were always enough to keep me interested in wrestling and I fell out of love with it when he left. Then I saw his first video with wrestle talk and I came flooding back.
Now it’s about 2/3 years on, I’ve never cared about board games and now I have a new favourite channel, I’ve binged 29 blood on the clock tower episodes, house rules has had me in stitches more times than I can count. Board game club is always a fun way to spend an hour. And there are like 10 other personalities I’ve fallen in love with now.

I'm so glad you finally did this one. My favorite game and crew together. I could have done another hour for certain.
My friends and I do game nights at our local pub every month or so, and the last couple times we always played Werewolf. The people's reactions were already funny, but eventually the staff actually started playing along, too!
They'd only come by our table during the discussion and nominate one player to be executed. Great fun! We're gonna be back there next week and I'm gonna introduce some NRB wisdom to them

I'm confused why the alpha wolf would ever want to add another wolf as that just gives the wolf team more ways to lose, and the extra wolf won't help since they won't know they're a wolf without outing yourself.
The threat of secretly being a wolf could convince good players to sit on information, lie, vote with the wolves etc.
The idea is supposed to be that no one knows for sure which team they're on except the Alpha, as they may have been turned into a wolf. So it adds an element of suspicion that makes people hesitate to be honest with each other. At least, that's the theory, if everyone plays optimally.
The extra wolf also counts as a centre card so it can be interacted with by the seer and witch etc.
Loved this one, would love to see it played again on the channel!
I love watching people play one night ultimate werewolf. It's always fun. This was a great episode and I can't wait to see Codenames next week.

Swapping those cards and not putting them back in the original position is a dead giveaway. Adam wasn't moving his card so he knew it had been swapped/looked at in the first two games (at least).
Please do more of this. This (and codename) is the best game to watch people play on CZcams. Especially people who make something fun out of it like you guys are!

Well, given the exact scenario he presented the chance was more like 2.857% chance.
The chance of another (non-Laurie) player being the seer (at the start of the game) times the chance of him picking that player times the chance of that player picking him.
I love One Night. It's such a fun play.

It's really popular in Asia and there's even movies and tv shows made using this game! 13:20 I was so confused when you revealed yourself right after the first vote.... definitely different from how I've played it. Usually it's if only one normal person is left, you can reveal you've won.... Round Two Sully easily could've used the process of elimination to claim he knew why there was only one Mason, four players already said what their role were leaving one Mason and one werewolf between him and Rosy(?). He coulda said that!!
