GxK, as I'm now noticing, didn't use filters like most Monsterverse films.
Visually, the color palette is beautiful and natural. KotM was too blue or too saturated. GvK emphasized warm colors.

The B.E.A.S.T. Glove is cool and all, but I prefer Kong with the Battle Axe. Also he looked a bit fat and didn't have much cuts in his skin, signifying he wasn't much experienced.

Godzilla vs Kong's animation is much better in every way.
This is for many reasons, but some of it has to do with the engrained details being almost nonexistent in Godzilla X Kong compared to Godzilla vs Kong 2021. In Godzilla vs Kong the monsters and animation in general had dark and dirty looking details on the monsters skin making them look realistic.
But when you also consider that the lighting is poorly done in Godzilla x Kong it makes this even worse, lighting can make something look real or fake. Godzilla vs Kong 2021's lighting is very good throughout the whole film. Having shadows and parts of the skin shine almost perfectly.
There are other problems with the animation in Godzilla x Kong that make the monsters either look fake or not like a real object, mostly due to unrealistic movements and poorly animated surroundings.

I don't feel the monsters magnitude in GxK, that's one of the reasons I don't like GxK personally.

@@GodGoji1954-qq5sh Well this has to do with the animation and angles used. The lack of details in the animation make the monsters look not any better than miniatures used in the suitmation Godzilla films.
This is also due to a lack of proper lighting, and details in the background.
The film also from what I've seen has this weird filter around the edges of the footage. Making the edges have similar qualities to a photograph from the 1980s.
Unlike what some people think this has nothing to do with the speed of the monsters. A good example of this would be comparing certain showa godzilla films to Godzilla final wars.
Both Godzilla move incredibly fast, but the difference is Godzilla final wars is done in certain ways to make this look more realistic in movement and details of the suit.
GxK's CGI is more cartoonish, once again leaving aside the "realism" in previous films, Wingard had even talked about it in an interview, it is also the film where the monsters have the most screen time.

why does it look better in 2021? i watched all the films and i’m a big Godzilla and Kong nerd, Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire’s cgi was great don’t get me wrong but it’s probably the worst in the series, some shots look janky and Godzilla Evolved looked really fake in some shots like the one where he jumped into the ocean, and that’s saying something
