- Metrocentro is a very large shopping mall in San Salvador. It was opened in 1971 and includes over 760 stores. The mall is built in several levels and has lots of open spaces and various food courts.

I have been there a couple times I think it's the biggest mall in el salvador and the biggest in central america it's amazing. And beautiful.

cool video! thanks for sharing. I was born in San Salvador and my parents used to take us to Metrocentro in the 70's. I've been in the USA since 1986 and I went back to El Salvador sometime in 2002. a lot has changed since then.

Nice video, wish I was in El Salvador right now. FYI that's the biggest and most popular mall in the country. It's own by the Poma family, probably the richest family in El Salvador. Let me know if there are any other sites you'll like to see and I'll gladly make some sugestions.

@@pddembowski ok here is a few: if you wanna check out a botanical garden go to Plan de la laguna. If you want to check out the best views and the best pupusas go to Los Planes de Renderos. If you want to see more shopping centres go to Multiplaza and La Gran Via. If you want to go outside of San Salvador then go to Bitcoin beach. If you want to go further out go to Santa Ana, Ahuachapan, Suchitoto. I guess it depends on what you'd like to see. There is also a live band that plays live music in downtown square in San Salvador every evening. The only issue is that it's very crowded
To be honest i prefer the crazyness of the historic center the only reason why so many malls proliferated in el salvador its again because of the gangs funny enough this gangs supported by the richest only help the more rich because like you said its own by the rich poma familly and the only people whocoul afford to rent such places are again the rich because people rather go to the malls and expend their money there for the safety now that the historic center will be develop again good bye malls.

The Adoc store at minute 13:58 is at least 50 years old in the same place. Basically, Metrocentro hasn't changed much (I worked in La Curacao in 95-96). It has expanded and places that were courtyards were closed. It gives me a lot of nostalgia and that's why I don't visit the country.
La tienda Adoc en el minuto 13:58 tiene al menos 50 años en el mismo lugar. Básicamente, Metrocentro no ha cambiado mucho (trabajé en La Curacao en 95-96). Se ha ampliado y se cerraron lugares que eran patios. Me da mucha nostalgia y por eso no visito el país.
No tenemos nada que envidiarle a otros paises

You did not go to the South side of MetroCentro crossing the Bridge.

Encabezando la lista tenemos al Albrook Mall de Panamá. No solo es el centro comercial o mall más grande de Centroamérica, sino de todo Latinoamérica. Este mall es inmenso ya que tiene más de 700 tiendas en un solo lugar por lo que tardarás horas y horas en recorrer todo.

Do any of you know how can someone shop for clothes online from this stores? I’m trying to buy something for my grandparents in El Salvador, but i have no idea how to send something from the mall to them directly, thank you in advance for the help!
You can go directly to the websites from each store or visit their pages on FB to check the websites from there as well. You can pay online with Siman for example but not sure about the others. Some of them may offer delivery but you have to ask on their FB page first. Good luck.
