God is great! It may be hard to believe when you don't, I came from the same place. It took me a while to understand and accept God. But when I did, it changed my life more than I could have imagined and I hope yours will be changed too.
Thanks for watching, I appreciate your comments and support! - Jak na to + styl
Happy 2020 everyone! I hope these are helpful to you in the year ahead. If you have any questions, let me know, even if it has nothing to do with game audio or this video!
Hello. I'm new to your channel and just binged a bit on the free vsti videos. have you done any videos on song creation or layering the synths in a song? If not, then please consider it. peace!
@@Astronomater Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy my videos! I don't think I actually made a video about layering so thanks for the suggestion! I do have some videos on song creation though, check these out: czcams.com/video/AheuOqlAMvA/video.html

@@TransverseAudio thanks for the education!
Yo my nigga you blessed up fr
thanks g 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
when i saw you scrolling through all the presets in u-he i felt like i got hearts in my eyes
Lol, I love presets too!
You are super awesome Jake. You are among those rarest creators who gets the tutorial content creation philosophy right. You have a fan for life here, mate.
I really appreciate that, Samir.
Bro that crystal plugin is crazy good, thanks!!!
dont think i need these, but MY GOD you are amazing at making songs with them!
Wow, thank you so much!
The song you did for Tyrel really gave Bejeweled vibes.
I’d mention Synth1 and Surge, but are pretty awesome, Synth1 has like 25K third presets and Surge comes with 1000 presets plus it can load wavetables made for serum. It also 3 oscs, 2 scenes, FX chain, 6 lfos and other modulation and 6 types of synthesis.
That's pretty sick! I have Synth1 on my list for free EDM Synths but I still need to check out Surge. Thanks for letting me know.
Synth1 is good but after reading your comment I'm going to look for Surge. Cheers
Great video and tips on some awesome plugins! U-he for the win! Happy 2020 Jake! 😊⭐
Thanks! u-he is amazing. Happy 2020 Mattias!

Hello! Just got into game music making recently! This is super helpful and great for what I need! Thanks!
Hey, I hope you enjoy it! I'm glad you found these.
Glad you made the video!
Thank you, Eclipsis seems very interesting.
You're welcome, it is!
Thanks, much appreciated. I am new to all this, well almost completely new to this, I almost done a music course back in 2003 after Djing for many years, I started the course but had to drop out, was very disappointed, as things went south real fast in my life, but there was nothing I could do about it! So roll on 20 years later and a bit of a headache lol, I have downloaded cakewalk and am looking to create some ambient background music for my game apps, I'm looking for those deep haunting synths, as the game I'm doing just now is very dark, as in not much light in the scene, so they have to watch where they are going etc, so yeah has to be very atmospheric in a haunting sense. Big fan of Ultimae records, such as Solar fields, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Asura etc for the ambient sounds, but yep going to need to find my own unique take on that genre and integrate it into my apps, going to be some journey but have to start somewhere, never too late in life to do something that you were once going to do many years ago.
These videos are a real help for a complete beginner. All the best, keep up the good work. 👍
Now I can create trippie redd x carti x lil uzi type beats
Enjoy!
And i also love the fact that you are giving this sort of education for free. i mean, not many do this in this age...
Happy to. I have to disagree though. I think free education is made more than ever now.
@@TransverseAudio Hmm...accepted😊
7:49 this is gorgeous!
Sounds like Eletro Black Metal. Haha
I agree, TyrellN6 is one of the best free vsts I have found to date. It does so much more than you expect for freeware
Really good. I recommend you check out Vital by Matt Tytel. That one is some serious stuff. It just came out in late November.
@@TransverseAudio I'll definitely give it a look, thanks!
Happy to help!
You are so awesome
2:21 insane!
I use a couple of these to create hardstyle and rawstyle effects. They're really good for making atmospheric stabs when combined with the distortion FX plugin I use.
If your using FL studio and you run into latency issues with these plugins then (all I do is) open new projects and set the BPM so it's the same as my original track. Then I produce and automate a sample that I can export and load into the original track.
If anyone knows of a better work around plz share lol
(The U-He plugins are absolutely brilliant it made your soundtracks feel as if they were produced on a top of the range Mac that is running the virus synth.
Surge is a great free synth too
Awesome tips. With the GGJ comming I'm really searching for some resources for my first participation
Thanks! Nice to know you are getting into it for the first time!
Excelente contenido !, saludos desde chile
¡Muchas gracias! ¡Hola desde Canadá! ¡Espero que todo esté bien ahí!
can you make a tutorial on how you made that song 5:20?
Very interesting..
Thanks, I hope you enjoyed the selection!
the VST Zone - Eclipsis page is dead again donw know if you have another link?
i download plugins and such, open the files and install. go back to the application and try to open it, but it just continues to install again and again. doesnt work properly.
Zebralette is fun. Hey, sometimes you sound like Ed Norton (actor). Yes, u-he has some fine plugins!
yeah, I think u-he makes really good ones!
Can you make a video about using DSK Overture plz (:
What would you like to know? Maybe I can help you here.

A bit late perhaps, but what do you use for drums? I own superior drummer, but the sound is too complex
Edit: Oh looks like you're using the bundled drums, sorry 😅
Thanks for these great suggestions. I guess there's a step to getting Zebralette working that I've overlooked. I've installed it in the right place, I can open it in Reaper and fiddle with the knobs, but it doesn't affect my tracks. When I select Zebra2, which also came with this download, there's a notification about demo limitations, and it wants you to enter a serial or purchase a license. I wonder if that's affected Zebralette...
Oh, Zebralette is a synth, not an effect plugin. Is that what you were trying to use it as?
@@TransverseAudio Er yes. How do you produce sound with this synth?
@@AdamCogan You just need to apply it to a track (not in your effect plugin rack) and write MIDI notes in a pattern for that track. What DAW do you use?
boutta make some trap music with the first VST
Nice choice!
Eclipsis sounds interesting
The Zone?
@@TransverseAudio Ops I meant Eclipsis
What program are these for?
For some reason the u-he Tyrell plugin does not show up in my DAW (Logic Pro) after saying the installation was successful. I've downloaded a lot of plugins and they usually are easy to find after restarting Logic. Any idea what I may be missing? Thanks and great video!
It may have installed into a folder that Logic doesn't usually look in for plugins. You may have downloaded the version for Windows by mistake (probably not), or you may have downloaded the wrong bit-version of the plugin (if Logic doesn't bridge plugins). Let me know if any of those work or not and we can go from there. Thank you btw, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
@@TransverseAudio Thanks for the response! I ended up just restarting my computer and it was there (usually I don't have to reset with most plugins). Thank you for your time, you've got my sub.
@@bamboozleproduction9163 I'm glad it was such an easy fix, and I usually don't have to either. I'm happy to help, thank you too.
Do these plugins work for any of the audio-software? Like LMMS and such?
It all depends on what plugins the host/DAW supports. These should all work in LMMS since that DAW has support for both 32 and 64 bit VSTs.
Can these be used in LMMS aswell?
Can anybody let me know if there is fine site for gammaking. Of course what i deserve now is just a indi, but I want more than that. For example here this channel is really good and professional enough. Can anybody specifically point out something?
Hey, check out this place: www.indiedb.com/
Just what you need for indie game making.
I got all these free uhe sounds, and still havent made a track or game track out of them yet lol
You can do it! Remember that it doesn't need to actually end up in a game, so you don't need to wait for a project to start.
`Transverse Audio actually forgot to mention, I made a lot of game music since haha
Oh, nice. Looking back at what you said, I don't know why I was thinking you haven't started at all 🤔What plugins are you using to make your music?
`Transverse Audio Pligins, I got a lot yet most not used haha
all of that said, these all are plug in for which software?
They are plugins for any Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). I recently made a video on the best free ones if you are looking for a DAW.
hello can you pls direct me in the correct way to some software to put theas in
Hey, sure! What you're looking for is a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). Check out my video about Cakewalk by Bandlab or my LMMS tutorial. - They are both free.
I zbzgribbed. Thanks
Thank you too!
VST Zone - Eclipsis Isn't working link
Unfortunately, Eclipsis is 32 bit plugin, no x64 version.
Yeah, it's not good for those who used DAWs that don't have native plugin bridging.
alot of these dont seem to be free.
Are the u-he vst free?
The ones in the video are but u-he does make paid plugins too.
Where Surge?
I'm not sure what that is. Is it good for game audio?
10:29
Yeah, I had a lot of boo boo's in this video. 😅
3:21
The birdy!
eclipse no longer exists
U-heは難しいシンセサイザーだ。💩
あなたはそれについて何が難しいと思いますか?
@@TransverseAudio thanks for your reply.
I couldn't figure out what kind of music to make with U-he presets.
Do you know NI absynth?
That sounds cool, but I can't figure out how to use it.
Similarly,I don't know what music to make with it.😇
You're welcome! As the name of this video suggests, I pretty much only use u-he for video game music. And yeah, Absynth is nice for ambiance.
If you want to make other types of music with these, try using them for adding pads, chords, or for small details/accents throughout a song.
