Just got this tank, planted a carpet of dwarf hair grass, and installed a glass spin pipe and surface skimmer with the zoo med 10 nano canister filter, with a stingray 2, 16” led light. thank you for being such an inspiration to me, I hope we can get an update on this tank In the future! Have a good day, to anyone reading, good luck on your tanks , and jurijs as well. :)
As I’ve just bought my first tank, this video has been helpful in so many way. Definitely, the best video for beginners trying to aqua scape and learn how to plant live plants:)
Danke Chrissy
Best aquascaping video tutorials so far. Tank you!
Very helpful, thank you! Probably going to do a poor woman's version of this. But all the concepts are transferrable and helpful. You did beautifully!
This is what happened to me yesterday; and still today honestly-- I keep looking at the hardscape of my new tank, trying to find a more attractive, "composed" arrangement.
Great videos!
Hi Jurijs, thanks for sharing your wide experience in a so relaxing way. The Aquascaping is growing in Colombia, you're a great mentor for us. Beautiful simplicity.
thanks Alex, best greetings to you and your friends in Colombia 👋
I have big troubles sleeping. Watching your video's relaxes me. After a video I do fall a sleep. I watch..learn..relax. thank you
that's nice feedback, thank you
When it counts, than was my first carpenting plant Staurogyne repens. When it not counts, then HCC and Elecharis mini. Very nice scape!
Congrats on the engagement, and thank you for helping bring people into this hobby by making it accessible, but professional looking. The more people in the hobby, the better it will be for all of us. Better art, more artists teaching each other, better plants, more companies selling them, better tools, more people designing them. Thank you Jurijs
Cheers Andrew, yep that’s my words.
Probably the best nanoscale iwagumi I have ever seen Juris. Love it. Fantastic hardscape and layout there .
Thanks mate, really appreciate your feedback
I never had the patience to wait for 30+ mins video but this was simply awesome. You got a new subscriber ❤️
Very informative and I like your soothing voice and relaxing background music. Keep it up!
I love this! I've worked with larger aquariums, but recently did my first nano, and really enjoyed it. I want to do a few more now! And yes, those UNS aquariums are a beautiful glass box. As always, awesome content from you, always informative and fun.
Thanks Martin, glad you enjoyed your first nano
Great video! So helpful! My first carpeting plant was Sagittaria subulata. It completely took over my tank but I loved the wild unkept look. It kept my tank stable for years but I made the mistake of ripping it all out (took forever) as it caused an imbalance and ultimately lead to an algae outbreak I have now.
Hey big fan
Thx very much ,great job!
hello mikey
Brilliant love the idea of marking loads of simple to replicate scapes and re-scaling all the time can’t wait to see them all 👌😂
I hope I can stick to my own advice, taking tanks down always hurt in my heart :D
I love this video. I am now inspired to do my very first dry start. Thank you.
This guy is on point! Definitely subscribed 🔥
So relaxing to watch thanks great tutorial!
Bitteeeeeeee mehr von solchen Videos 😍. Relaxing time einfach 🧘🏽♂️
schon in Produktion ;)
I am a complete beginner. This is a very comprehensive video tutorial. Thank you! Wish me luck on a smaller tank. 😃
Cuba was my first...high tech tank with Seachem Flourite. I used Seachem tabs and Tropica Specialized. Grew into a perfect carpet in about 8 weeks. I am blessed with near perfect tap water and had the benefit of watching many videos by you and GF before trying.
The nano aquascape is beautiful BTW.
Thank you very much
U inspired me to get in to aquascepe and it gives a new look to Chanel as well 👌
Thanks again
As someone new to to the hobby, I like the way we follow your creative journey from the start. Initially, I wasn't convinced, but then, as you develop it further, I start to see something magical. Great stuff Jurijs.
You welcome 🤗
Can't wait for the update on this!
😮 ONE of the very best Videos from you so far👏 Well Done like this Format very well 👍👍👍👍👍very suitable especially for beginners 👏
Love your channel and your creations! Keep up the great work!!
Thank you, appreciate your feedback
Great tutorial! Thank you! 👍❤️🙏
Beautiful!
I live in a small home and have limited space so I LOVE nano aquariums. I can only have a few but what I can't own I make up for by watching your channel. Great videos!
Thank you Christine, this is valuable feedback and I really appreciate it
@@JurijsJutjajevs Just to let you know, I scape my little 5 gallon betta tank with artificial silk plants. This way I don't have to struggle to keep the plants alive (I once killed an artificial Christmas tree and in Canada that's a real accomplishment) and the plants are soft so they don't damage the delicate fins of my betta. Got my inspiration from your videos. Keep all that inspiration coming.
Hey your design inspired me to create my first iwagumi landscape tank. Thanks for the inspiration.
Awesome job Pierre!
I love how simple you made your videos thank you 😊 for sharing 🥰🎉
you welcome, hopefully I can inspire and encourage more people enjoy aquascaping
My first carpeting plant or what I used as a carpeting plant was Sagittaria subulata (dwarf sagittaria). No Co2, but did use planted soil, root tabs, and liquid fertilizer for the epiphyte plants. Another great video Jruijs! Keep it up!
Great video! Excited for the series!
thanks mate, appreciate your support
Great video Jurijs! Lots of detail and info! A great step by step video! Something I definitely will follow in the future! Awesome work! Thank you!
Thanks Mike, I hope I can keep the promise and rescape the little sucker every so often
@@JurijsJutjajevs with your talent and skills you will NOT disappoint!
I am going to say it again and again....You make the best tutorials and masterclass i have ever see...You help a lot the new scapers like me to learn thinks!!!I hope to see more videos like this in the future from you!!!Thank you for sharing your knowlege with us.......
Thank you Kostas - its your feedback that is fuel in my engine and what motivates me to do more ;)
This was good and informative... and a Fast Build!
it was real time, I hope this inspires a lot of people
Klasse, Jurijs!
@@JurijsJutjajevs sehr gut! Da ist jemand fleißig gewesen 😁
I love your work, lot of patience. I am watching all of your video tutorials. Thanks a lot for sharing knowledge.
Thank you, appreciate your feedback
@@JurijsJutjajevs Welcome
Really nice scape and tutorial, Jurijs! My first carpeting plant was Sagittaria virginiana. That was 15 years ago and I'm still growing some of it today! 😀🌿💦👍
wow, I love it when people keep one plant for many many years
Great video, thanks. Found myself distracted by just how healthy this guy looks. His skin is positively glowing. I need to go drink a litre of water.
Absolutely appreciate the effort and detail shared in starting up a planted aquarium..as a beginner to the hobby .. totally liked ur video..👍🏻
thanks Tushar, welcome to the beautiful world of aquascaping
Very nice work! Good to see you and your channel back on CZcams.
cheers mate
Great helpful vid and looks great
Looks a very good! I like this tank! ;-)
Magnifique ! Bravo à toi vite le résultat final ! 👍🌿
thank you ;)
This is just awesome😍
I really pike these kind of looong tutorials were everything is explained!🙏
Btw Your kitchen is frickin' awesome😂😂👍
thanks mate, let me tell you a secret .... my kitchen doesn't always look like this, I have rearranged the content of the shelves for this video shoot
@@JurijsJutjajevs I was almost scared ;D How can a kitchen be so clean all the time😂🙏
Hello! I am impatient to see the progress of this fantastic nano-aquarium. It's so simple, it's beautiful and great! next month I will start mine, and I would love to see how yours is progressing, which is my inspiration. a hug!
So far DSM is working well
I love how you present your videos, excellent editing. And nice medium low energy speaking, so many scapers and fish keepers seem to be yelling in their videos
THANK YOU 🙃
You make very great quality videos
Great job!
beautiful and simple..
Eleocharis "Mini" my favorite plant, nice video!
I like this one too, with medium light and low nutrients it can grow with almost zero maintenance
A wonderful aquascape, I love the green and black colour scheme.
On the timer, we picked up two after your holiday video . They are perfect for our needs. The only draw back was the directions . Luckily we had your video to review. It made the difference between frustration and ease of use. The company should have your video on ghost site and Amazon page!
Thanks again for all the information,
Jim
Haha, yeah I wonder why so many companies suck at manuals and tutorial
Thank you for the tutorial, i learned and relaxed.
Still waiting for the cooking show with Jurijs :/
SOOOOO AMAZINGGGGGGGG
Fantastic Jurijs
My first carpet was Eleocharis acicularis 'mini' and I fell in love with that plant. BTW, seeing all the books behind you it would be nice if you could make a video of your favourite and/or highly recommended inspirational scaping books.
Great video.. ☺️
Great scape, been thinking about running 2 or 3 small scapes like this for practice.
good idea!
Awesome Content!!!
i love your channel !@ Brazil here!
thanks mate
Great video! Thanks for sharing! - Little Bobby
Thanks for watching!
Nice Tutorial, Jurijs. It's good that you took some time and it was just the right amount of "rambling" 😊. Keep up the good work.
Ah and btw, my first carpet-plant was the Eleocharis parvula or pussila or what it is called right now. Without Soil it turned from green, to yellow, to brown 🙄😊
My first carpet was monte Carlo, and it was beautiful, green and healty. But I didn't trim it and It grew to thick, and the air bobles got to it and it started uproting its self😅
dont forøget to trim your carpet✌️
Great tutorial😍
haha, classic - happened to me too with several different carpets in the past, lessons learned I say ;)
Super cool rocks
I like how you explained the composition and why you arranged it that way. Very educational! 👍🏼💝
thank you, what else can I help you with?
@@JurijsJutjajevs I am very confused about lighting. How to measure the proper amount of light. If my tank has low light plants but also high light plants, do I give enough light for the high ones but would that mean too much for the low light needs? Or should a tank be designed to have only one type of light requirements (e.g. all low light or high light plants)? Thanks for the reply. 💝
Light requirement is always a minimum requirement. If you only have low light you should only use plants that are ok with low light. If you have strong light, you can use any type of plants. But remember, slow growing plants such as Anubias or crypts might attract algae if growing under too much light, this plants should be planted in shadowed areas. Such as underneath Hardscape or next to very large plants that will overshadow them anyway
@@JurijsJutjajevs ok, thank you for the ideas. I might do a rescape because one of my tanks is a mess and I have not figured out if it's because of incorrect lighting strength, not enough plants, water too hard, or maybe my base fert is leaching into the water. 😰
Excellent
I need to get me one of these..... great job!
Thank you 🙏
Scaping from behind and it looks really nice too. Legend. =D
Actually feels like a cooking class and i love it.
Haha, cooking show with Jurijs 👨🍳
beautiful view from outside my glass brother ...
Plastic is for the dry start method, thats what I think! Love the content, keep it up man!
Correct, thanks for your feedback
Can i skip the dry start?
It's main purpose if I'm not mistaking is to keep the humidity in the tank. About to scape a 10g with seiryu stone dwarf hairgrass seed and I'm building a bonsai tree going to use Java moss as foliage leaves. Wish my month long journey luck lol
@@TCC95 a month is short but gl!
Welcome back Jurijs ;)
thanks Pedro, feels good to be back :)
awsome video, subscribed!
Thanks mate, appreciate you
Wow.... That stone is awesome.....
May i get that Rock....from u.. . Xixixiix
My first carpeting plant is tropica Helanthium Tenellum green. I am learning to grow it for more than a week now. Planted it in dennerle deponitmix professional 9 in 1. 😁
Awesome tutorial and sweet little scape brotha. First carpeting plants I did was Hemianthus Cuba and Enchinodorus Tennelus and I have hard water so no problems but nerite snails getting underneath the cuba and lifting it up.
I use clithon snails, they don’t dig plants
Very good material as usual 👌
thanks Beny
First carpeting plant was Monte Carlo on gravel and it works very well
Wow simple and best
Thank you 😊
I love the results of your scape! What carpeting plants would you recommend using with out co2?
Glosso was my first with JBL substrate. Grew amazingly with CO2, high lighting, and the substrate. Got ruined when I bought a cichlid unknowingly as a newbie and it destroyed it all, throwing the tank out of balance and letting BBA and algae take over. Would love to get glosso again soon
Amazing video! My first carpet plant was pearl weed but I didn’t plant the tank heavily enough and have a massive algae bloom and am in the process of trying to fix it
Pearl weed is actually a terrible carpeting plant, it grows very fast and has to be constantly trimmed. I reccomend using a real carpeting plant instead. Micranthemum tweedeie or hairgrass. To help battle algae add some fast growing helping plants ie floaters
cool,..thanks bro👍
I'm very inspired
My first tank was a 20 gallon long, I used dwarf hairgrass, and S. repens for the carpet. It’s a low tech tank, so the hairgrass took a while to establish, but the repens did very well, very dense. I ended up mixing random bits of the hairgrass into it and it looks quite nice now.
cool, enjoy your plants ;)
Lovely tank bro!
Thanks Felipe San 😉
Please do an update & maintenance for this Nano tank.. keep on creating this beautiful world of nature aquarium scape! Awesome & inspiring as always ✌🏼
update is coming soon, so far 6 weeks DSM and its looking great
"Yes I love rambling not only George does it" 😂
but I won't wear a t-shirt thats says it
I watched the whole video hoping i would find out how he deals with giant heaters in such a tiny aquarium.
I really enjoined the video regardless 😁
My first carpeting plant was Utricularia graminifolia in a fluval Flex with gravel and dennerle deponit mix underneath. I had no clue what UG needed. It just looked good on the pictures :) I failed badly, was frustrated and began to read und moved it out for Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo was a dream. Beginner friendly and that success pushed me deeper in that scaping think 😁😎
awesome, glad you tried MMC and didn't left the hobby!
Very inspirational. Currently planning to rescape my 30cm cube. Sense of scale is amazing your creation.
thanks mate, are you the owner of the @aquascape.nl instagram?
@@JurijsJutjajevs No I do not own the aqascape.nl instagram. Just doing it for the hobby and passion.
Oh okay sorry, the owners name is also Wouter..
@@JurijsJutjajevs No problem at all Jurijs. Typical dutch name ;). Looking forward to the season 2 content. Keep it up!!
Very nice video, Jurijs. A tip and something I thought could be very nice, was to show the aquarium from the side, back or even from the top while you arrange the hardscape and soil. I would be really helpful to show more aspects of the process. Also, its interesting to see the tank from more perspectives.
I agree, next tutorial I will include this
This i like. Fun. Ideas. Creation
