- In this episode of our family travel vlog, we take the kids through the streets of Hanoi Vietnam. The historic sites, the water puppets, and of course the food was our plan of attack in Hanoi with our family. The small streets and alleyways and unique culture were fun for us to experience. Ok, so this video is a bit of cleanup. I just couldn’t get it to flow with our other two, Sa Pa ( see video • 👑Royal Trekking Experi... ) or Halong Bay ( see video • ⚓️ Cruising Halong Bay... ) both of which were done while we were in Hanoi. Understandably, our time in Hanoi flew by.
Scouring over the remaining footage, I decided to cover a few of our highlights and memories from Hanoi. One was the streets. These small alleys and streets that were lined with hotels, restaurants, and shops that were so tall and close together, it blocked out the sun. At night the neon lights colored the walls and gave it a futuristic juxtaposition with the grittiness of the city.
Water puppets are something that we have been hearing about for a very long time, thanks dad, as one of the things we can’t miss. We saw it and it was a really unique show. Although there were so many great things to see in Hanoi, I can see why it is one of the top “must see” attractions while visiting Hanoi.
The food...oh the food...we will always have very fond memories of the street food in Vietnam and Hanoi in particular. It was delicious, it was cheap, and it was everywhere...What more could you want?
Anyway, that’s a wrap for Vietnam. Next stop, Chiang Mai, Thailand!
