Counting Atoms: Intro to Moles Part 2

- We'll learn how to use moles to figure out how many atoms you have in something. If there are 602 hexillion things in a mole, how do you count them all? By using the periodic table, you can figure out the molar mass, the amount that one mole of a substance weighs. Once you weigh something to determine how many moles are in it by using molar mass, Avogadro's number allows you to figure out how out how many atoms there are.

Wanted to drop by a video two years later to thank you. You got me through chem and about to graduate a nursing program that I would have never gotten into if not for your great videos! Thank you!
I gotta say . I figured out everything about mole just by watching your part 1 video about mole and 4:02 minutes of this 2nd part.
Imagine how great you are in making students analyze themselves.
Once again , thanks a ton :)
Or thanks a mole ton XD

Besides the amazing explanations Tyler gives, his class preparation is impressive. He has all the materials he needs, all the labels in order, he writes neatly and best of all, he KNOWS his stuff. You are the best, Tyler. Thank you so much.
You are awesome. I always here how American students are so behind other countries, but if we had more teachers like you, we would be the elite!!! I would major in chemistry if you were my teacher...
You are better than my Chemistry Professors
I live in a 3rd world country where education is limited but you have just fulfilled my desire to learn and be enlightened . I will be forever grateful to you
thank you so much. you just saved my life. ive been struggling with moles for a couple of days already and ive seen a lot of videos but i never could understand what were they doing. thank you!!! the best chemistry teacher!
I have been through tutoring sessions three times a week, lectures, notes, notecards, buying the book 'Chemistry For Dummies', practicing, and spent over 10 hours for weeks trying to understand Chemistry and this guy broke everything down and made so much sense in less than 15 minutes..... Dude, you are a GIFT from GOD. Make videos forever please. I will watch them until I die just to support you!

The whole reason how I passed my chemistry class is cause of your videos. My professor always confused the hell out of me, and never made sense. I would come home and watch your videos, and the 'ahah' moment would happen. Thank you so much for these videos!! I owe my successful chemistry grade to you! You're the best!!
Ur the first person that actually taught me how to understand moles, your the best

Thank you so much! It's amazing what a different style of teaching can do for someone's comprehension. If only I could give you 602 hexillion thank you's!
Tyler, i have learned more in these 10 minutes then i have in the last 3 lecture periods of my chemistry class. Your videos are absolutely incredible!
Please don't stop doing these. You are awesome!
How the eff did Avogadro know how many atoms were in 12 grams of carbon?
Actually, he did not know how many atoms there are in 12 grams of Carbon. But you should just Google it for the full answer.
He just googled it obviously.
You know what..Legend says that Avogadro is the *Carbon* himself.ya what are you lookin at.
@@jinn4955 I heard another legend. Avogadro found a way to hack this simulation and found out this number. He told the whole simulation world about this and thats the story of this number

Omg, you are awesome ! I looked through many textbooks and videos and couldn't find any good explanation of the mole! Thank you! Please make some more videos!
Oh the next video taught me how important parentheses are in calculators. When I did it that way (as he shows in next video), I got right answer (24). I loved your videos on factor-unit problems, but I was getting wrong answers and I had to be taught how to punch in the numbers into a calculator correctly. Thanks for showing that whenever you can, Tyler. Some of us are taking chemistry (and math in it) for the first time in over 20 years, lol. : ) I am so grateful for your videos!!!
You sre the best teacher in the universe.your teaching method is awesome.
