the best thing about +tyler Dewitt's videos is that he is explaining himself on the upper right corner and using drawn diagrams on the other side which makes it easier for the viewer to understand . the other thing is that he uses easier things first and THEN goes to the difficult things . The point here is that you need the charges to balance: for example, you need two (2) Na+ to balance out one (1) O 2-. So if you understand how that works, then yeah you can use the criss-cross method, but PLEASE make sure that you understand how these charges balance out.
