- A year and a half ago my Dad and I put our minds together to build what we have been dreaming about since we were both young kids. I did not watch the whole video I skipped the end but I noticed that you're on still so it was it necessary to cut down trees did you guys just build it within the wooded area so it's not to hurt the plants and the end or the ecosystem
Yes we cut down trees. Probably much less than needed to be cut down when building the house you live In though.

Thank you so much, ya we did save a lot doing it ourselves. It costed just under half a million to build but ya probably would have been double or triple to get it contracted out.
This had to cost a fortune. And take quite some time and effort. Some rich nigga shit, and it’s awesome

It's GORGEOUS! but i wouldnt say it's a tree house, it's a house on stilts
We would have loved to build it supported by trees but two things stop you from doing that.
1. If you want to permit it you can’t do so if it’s supported by trees because of uncertainty from tree growth. You’d also have a heck of a time insuring it.
2. If it were smaller and less expensive to build we would have risked tree growth and all that but it was too big and expensive to risk a supporting tree rotting in 10 years and loosing the build.
This is how most treehouses are built now and some just a couple feet off the ground (which I don’t think count) so we made it 25 feet off the ground to make sure you feel like you’re in a treehouse.
So the trees that go through the house -- not planning on them ever _growing_, are you?
Great question, we don’t have any trees growing through the actual interior of the treehouse, just the decks. It’s very hard to waterproof them if going through the house so we designed the build around them
