Why the game title uses "Chornobyl" (Ukrainian language) and not the "Chernobyl" (Russian language, the official language in the USSR), while in the subtitles it's the "Chernobyl"?
Why the firefighter truck has the Ukrainian "Chornobyl" as well? Signs in Ukrainian started being used after the dissolution of the Soviet Union

Excuse me, trying to project modern day agenda on historical events isn't very smart.
"Today, however, in independent Ukraine, the beautiful Ukrainian language can be used without hindrance"
Good point, however, isn't the game set in the USSR with "forcibly used" (yeah let's not talk about regional languages being official languages in the republics on par with Russian) Russian and not in the modern "independent" Ukraine?
Still doesn't answer why is the text on the truck of the country that were "forcing" Russian is....Ukrainian. I can understand if some characters used Ukrainian, it would make sense, but departmental vehicles which supposed to be standardized? Ha.
