I'm never really the up-to-date pop fan or a pop fan for that matter, but I do think that Lorde has some talent. She is also one of the most intellectual teen celebrities, of not the most. She also loves reading. I think she'll be a good example for my generation.
Lorde edited her mother's Masters thesis when she was 14. She's a prodigy, I am so impressed, and so happy she won.
