In this special 73rd episode of 73 Questions, Lorde walks around New York Botanical Garden and talks about her childhood, her new album, and that secret beach she filmed the 'Solar Power' music video on.

I love how Lorde asked to show the crew, it shows her appreciation for all the people she's working with. Everybody counts, that is important
I think she wanted to do it mainly because as a viewer you have no idea that there is a huge crew of people following silently behind them like that, and she wanted to share that. I found that to be the coolest part of the whole video. I like that she thinks outside of the box like that.
Pure Heroine is one of the best albums of all time. It came out when I was 16 and Lorde was 17, and it truly felt like she was singing hymns to the end of childhood, the bittersweet emotions of it all. When Melodrama came out, I was in nyc discovering what it meant to be free, just as Lorde was. Our generation will forever be grateful for her narration of our experiences.

Everytime I look at Lorde, I feel she is always one step ahead of everyone. I feel that she is so smart that I don't even understand how smart she really is
I'm pretty sure when she was a kid, she was identified as being really academically gifted and had private tuition for a time since she was so talented. (Don't quote me on this but I am sure I seen this somewhere)

The thing is...it's not free. It's an attempt to gain goodwill that may make money later, free advertising, or as part of a business deal. The reason poor people don't get that stuff is that economically they provide nothing for those people or companies. The hard truth.

My fave 73 questions because A) there was no flaunting of her wealth for no reason, loved the nature 💚 B) she is the only one so far that didn't feel rehearsed. She was thinking and answering and looking around and C) NO MAKEUP and D) she showed us how staged it is

there's this brazilian actress/comedian, called Tata Werneck, she once said on twitter that a brand was offering her stuff for her baby when she was pregnant and she thought it was so needless since she already had and could buy everything her baby would need, so she told the brand to instead of giving he, to give all the stuff to moms that were in actual need. so she made sure she found some moms that would benefit and made contact with them. i thought that was so nice of her, i wish that was a more common concept.
Celebrities are better and more superior than us, so they deserve more. Also it’s just so the products can get promoted.

Love her comment about the irony of wealthy celebrities getting free stuff. Eddie Van Halen said the same thing when he gave a bunch of expensive guitar equipment to an up-and-coming musician who'd been opening for them. Basically: "Now that I'm rich everyone gives me free stuff. No one gave me anything when I was poor, so take this."
The interviewer's "right, right" is the most calming, reassuring sound ever???? It's like I could fall asleep to it yet it could be the motivation to start my day.

She was probably sent the questions before hand. With this style of interview she wouldn't have thinking time.
She literally says at 5:33 min mark how she had thought about the question that was asked. So yea she had the questions in advance.
For pure heroine being a “tricky” album to dance to, it was the one I constantly played to unleash all of my high school tension. Basically I would un possess my body with this album

I knew that she would answerr Bowie the second he laid out the question. It is rare that such similar beings actually get to cross paths and I know they both did, before he passed. And gosh, look at her. She is a chameleon. Everything about her screams those same characteristics that made Bowie who he was. The interviewer is so inauthentic and Lorde is so authentic. The contrast is obvious enough that it hurts.
I mean, It's hard to seem authentic when you have a written set of questions and a limited amount of time to ask them.
