Thank you, it's important to keep being reminded why I changed from vegetarian to total plant based diet, whole grain, bean way of eating.

Be careful with any of the food you mention because of the oxalates a believe me they are real and they actually the source of inflamation over long-term

      @annemccarron2281
Hi there! Thanks so much for watching my video and thinking I'm nice 😊
You're right: nothing new in here! As a nutrition coach, my role isn't necessarily to put out groundbreaking science or revelatory information. I'll leave that to the doctors 😉
Instead, my role is to sift through all the studies, information, and new science that I can, then package and teach it in a way that is accessible and applicable to the average person (who, surprisingly, really doesn't know that much about nutrition - especially with so much conflicting info online). There are folks out there who claim to have a "secret" system for health and wellness. I don't buy it. The info's out there already, we just gotta find it! And that's what I do my best to help others do.
For example, I received a bunch of comments and emails asking about foods that reduce inflammation. What I'm honored by is that our community here trusts me to sift through that info for them and deliver it in a way that's simple and easy to implement for their situations! If they get a new tip or idea that they can implement, that's the goal.
If my content is too basic for you, that's totally fine! I love nerding out on podcasts like The Proof or listening to interviews with doctors to get into the nitty gritty. But that's not necessarily my goal here with the channel. Instead it's to make that information easy to digest (pun fully intended) for those who don't have the time or interest in doing that themselves.
If you happen to watch some other of my videos, I hope you find a tip that helps you out! And if it's not for you, totally cool.
Thanks for watching and I hope you have a great health journey!!

Wow, the ONLY person who actually defended you ( for lack of a better word) didn't even "deserve" a like from you... That also says a lot about a person...

@@333Hedgehogs Hi! I can promise I'm not sitting at my computer twiddling my fingers Mr. Burns style deciding who does and doesn't get likes 😂
I have 82 videos up, so a lot of comments come in. I do my best to respond to the nice ones, occasionally jump in on discussions if I feel like they're honest/open-minded (but NEVER into arguments between two people), and do my best to ignore all the mean, insulting, and hurtful comments that come through. Sometimes nice ones get lost if I get a bunch at a time or I see it on my phone and forget to respond on my computer later. Or I respond to one in a thread without realizing that it's *in* a thread and not a standalone comment.
Point being: I care a lot about helping people on here and do my best to be accessible and approachable. It gets harder as the channel grows. Scouring to make sure I've acknowledged every comment, which I used to do, wasn't sustainable. But I do my best to make everyone feel appreciated when I can, even if sometimes I can't, or forget to, respond (and this doesn't even count all the emails I respond to every day! That's where the majority of my time is taken, as the discussions tend to be slower and more in-depth).
So I hope you understand the context here and don't judge my character as a person based on me not clicking a heart button on the computer one time!
Either way, I hope you have a great day!

Hi, I’m a new subscriber, from Italy. Thanks a lot for your information…. I started following the plant based diet in July 2020, and I’m still learning which kind of food I can digest better because sometimes I feel like a balloon😮
I’m planning to watch all of your videos to know more about it.

Just discovered your channel, and loved the video, your calm energy and the short yet precise info! 🙏👍
Please what do think about detox symptoms? - I’m WFPB since quite some time, still eating cooked veggies too.
I have fibromyalgia and find that this diet indeed is anti-inflammatory, but I do still experience some pretty rough detox symptoms on certain foods like potatoes, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, figs, kiwi, dates etc. Avoiding them completely would mean a loss in wonderful nutrients and some are very satiating which is an important aspect.

      You’re very welcome.
Thank you for asking, by detox symptoms I mean aches and pains in the body, some dizziness, headaches, fatigue. Or feeling a little nauseous.
      🙏

@@c.c.1900 Gotcha, thanks for sharing! If you've made a big change in diet and are experiencing symptoms with certain foods it may help to see a doctor for an elimination protocol to find out what's going on in that sense. Sometimes adding more plants can lead to stomach discomfort temporarily since we're not used to the fiber. Other symptoms, though, may need to be checked out especially with another medical condition at play

Yes! Frozen berries are great and have plenty of nutrients since they're usually frozen just after being picked. During the winter I rely almost exclusively on frozen berries that I pick and freeze during the summer 👍🏻
