- Mr. Oshiro plants his rice, every year, using modern methods, with a tractor, and various machinery. But he said he still always plants some of his lands by hand, using more traditional methods. He feels this gives a reason for people to come and work together, while also preserving the old methods for younger generations to learn from and appreciate times past.
For this video, I am testing out a bit of a new style of video for this one. It allows me to edit the content faster and upload more often, but maybe offers something a highly produced video cannot. Let me know what you think of this style in the comments below. I plan to continue making more scripted videos with music as well, but sometimes with a little silence and imagery, the story can tell itself.
I work for KITO DESIGN HOLDINGS (www.kito-dh.jp), a company started by Kito born Yasushi Fujita, which aims to create a sustainable population in the small town of Kito, Tokushima, through various revitalization projects. They are kind enough to allow me to film these videos, in hopes the stories of Kito will reach a broader audience.
