chuck u r entertaining, lol. question, why not add crash bars like givi? im about to order them for mine, i feel for the amount of touring i wnt to do, i want to maximize protection on the bike any thoughts?
I have SW Motech crash bars and T-Rex engine case guards. Pretty much full protection and I've needed it a couple times while practicing slow speed riding. It doesn't matter what brand, just as long as no part of the actual bike touches the ground when it falls.
Happens to me all the time. There are no limits to drivers stupidity.
We have to be alert and defensive all the time.

Hey Chuckahama! Is it just me or did all three cars behind you do it? Looks like car #3 cut off car #2 before they could cross the double yellow.
They did, but it the Honda that nearly side swiped me. I'm just more careful at that intersection now.
