If you see this AB, the balloons have a double meaning. First, and obvious, they are his burden; as explained above. The second is the fact that they are black, NF could have used any color but he chose black because black balloons are a symbol of opoid addiction, specifically someone who has died from opioids.

Iâm a metal guy as well and NF is easily my most listened to artist on Spotify. Itâs not even that close lol.
His story goes in order- so I recommend starting from the beginning. However, the next song that gives you more clarity after this one is "leave me alone". Balloons are his burdens and the cart represents his mobil cage - you saw the cage at the beginning of the video. Interpretations can vary, but the people in white are people that are happy or with God. They can still have burdens (ballons) but he is trying to get there. NF is amazing... im telling you now- no bad songs!

I think the white clothes are a metaphor for a cleaner mind in a way. White clothes is the lack of depression and his "search" is him walking towards the healthier area. He went from an area with black sand to an area with greenery which shows he found a place that's more life like probably due to music. And him settling there, like he did, he got the white clothes as he's his mental health has gotten better. Of course this is just my interpretation. But the balloons are burdens and throughout his whole career he has had the metaphor of his mind being a mansion with rooms which are filled with memories and emotions. Also having alter egos that are emotions such as jealousy and anger etc. If you go through his journey you can see it!
I'm sure someone else pointed it out ... but NEVER a curse word ... EVER. That takes a lot of skill and says so much about Nate's character.

The 2nd was the "Had to see a Therapist" line, back to his song, and album, called "Therapy Session."
The third is the most obvious, (and personally one of my favorites x3) "Been makin' a whole lotta Changes," talking about his song "Change." That's personally one of my favorites by him cause there was a time (and still are times) when I hated change and his song help me through. I'm not going to give you a spoiler, because I REALLY hate it when people do that, but the story about what happened with her is in the song "How Could You Leave Us".
