- Blondie emerged from the late 70’s New York punk scene and quickly became music, style and pop culture icons selling more than 40 million albums. They scored hits with reggae, rock/disco, hip hop and pop songs bursting with great hooks and brilliant, ironic lyrics. ‘Heart Of Glass’ was Blondie’s first US #1 in 1978 opening the floodgates to a run of 14 Top Ten US hits including ‘The Tide Is High’, ‘Call Me’, ‘Rapture’, ‘Picture This’, ‘Rip her To Shreds’, ‘Hanging On The Telephone’, ‘Union City Blues’ and ‘Atomic’, racking up a phenomenal five US and five UK number one singles.

Blondie as a whole has evolved and grown and their music still feels sincere. Debbie has updated, or rather added some lyrics and makes things relevant to the times. Perfection without pretense, so uplifting and well, so much fun! One Way or Another rocks, this is a serious blast!

My first albums I bought as a young teen was Blondie's Parallel Lines and Eat to the Beat. Amazing to think she's 75 now and 65 when this show was performed.

If you have been listening your entire life and heart of glass is your favorite, may I suggest listening to their first 3 albums again? That is actually probably one of their most shallow songs. Have heard Do The Dark? Great song, way better, although I do love heart of glass, as well

Clem still has it albeit they use drum back tracks now. Technology has allowed us to see so many older bands keep going and going👍

The Band went on as 'Blondie', to Score 5 Top Hits in the US, with their break thru #1 Hit being, 'Heart Of Glass'. Also 5 Top Hits in the UK. The drummer for 'Blondie' was responsible, for the Bands fast paced in overdrive. His name is almost sanonamis with that era in music. 'Clement Burke' AKA as "CLEM" he had a reputation as to this. If you wanted a fast on time, he alone could fill the fast paced style. With a very strong 'Backbeat'. Prior to being the 'Drummer' for 'Blondie', "CLEM" was the Drummer. For non~other than the, 'RAMONES'. Both the 'RAMONES' and 'BLONDIE'. Kicked~Off their Careers at none other than, 'CBGB'. Turning 'CBGB' into a Club that was about to go under. 'CBGB' was packed from the early scene, giving rise to many Bands and Musical Vocalists. Such as the infamous, 'Iggy~Pop', now the list continues to go on and on. I don't agree that Clem Burke was an all time great. John Bonham, Ginger Baker, Neil Peart were all way way better in the same era. Agree with everything else though.

Blondie is Pop\Punk fun band that can get sentimental to.
Clem's Drum kit is every bit as important to serve the material in a manner that is unrivalled.
They are inducted into the RRHOF,but truly are not the same genre as they have their own.
Blondie toured for much longer than any of them out there.
Heck,Zeppelin only toured for like 4 years,Clem been perfect for 10times that.
If I was shooting for a drum style,I'd try for Clem's.
Just perfect for the material and can fit in anywhere.
Some can pound the kit,while others tip toe through the material with precision.
Clem is one of best I ever heard,and only ones to disagree,are not really into the genre of music.
They play many styles to never get boring.
He is a machine.
Clem Burke couldn't keep up with the Ramones, he only drummed with them twice and couldn't play double time on the hi-hat. Iggy Pop NEVER performed at CBGBs. "Just 'Historical Facts' my friends and that is all."
No matter what, it's usually the effort of more than one. Life is short, don't be greedy.

Talent for ever but Clem is the straw that mixes the drink. Very few could keep this band tight like he does.
And she didnt do ANY of my faves of Hers...where was "Rush Rush" "I Want That Man" and "French Kissin" ???????????????????????????
