  • I recently took my FJ Cruiser in for its 85k mile service, and my rear brakes were down to 3mm. The dealership quoted me $329 for the brake job. A buddy who worked as a Toyota mechanic informed me that a dealer brake job also includes resurfacing the rotors, which brings the cost up. If you're not experiencing any pulsation, there is no need to resurface. He stopped by and taught me how to change out the rear brake pads. This video shows some some of the things I learned.
