    Gotta love that Old Spice all-in-one: bodywash, facewash, shampoo, dish soap, engine degreaser, sink cleaner, toothpaste (if you're brave)!
    Taking into consideration how much weight you might lose in BMT, What are your thoughts on just buying new civies at your tech school BX/PX/NEX?

    • @ClawGamingCG
      @ClawGamingCG  Před 2 měsíci +2

      I don't think buying civies while you're in tech school would be worth it, you may lose or gain the weight back depending on how you really motivate and manage yourself with as much freedom you have within Tech school. And you're in tech school for only 2-4 months depending on your AFSC/School house so it wouldn't be worth it to buy new clothes, would just another thing to worry about and to pack once you graduate tech school and move onto your first assignment. I would just wear whatever you decide to bring to BMT and whatever else your parents or family may send you once you're in tech school. Then once you're settled at your first assignment i would decide around that time to redo a wardrobe or so.

    Leaving June 17th going in for my 7 day briefing tomorrow morning snapped a pic of my packing gear from before and my updated packing gear after this video to show to my recruiter to see what he thinks between the 2 gear sets. I have been doing 20 min basic body weight workouts via youtube videos that I have been following and going for a zone 2 level jog for about 15-20 mins a day. I am not quite at the level of readiness to score a 75+ on the PT test but I figure BMT will get me the rest of the way there. I am 34 years old and I can run 1.5 miles in 15 min I can do about 25 pushups in a row and about 35 situps in a row. Apparently to reach a minimum score of 75 I need to complete the 1.5 mile run in under 14 min need to do 27 pushups in a min and 42 situps in a min. So surely PT 5-6 days a week at BMT for 5-6 weeks before the final fitness test should get me the rest of the way there right?

    • @ClawGamingCG
      @ClawGamingCG  Před měsícem +1

      Yea youre good, looks like youre on track, the PT at basic is structured for people that never worked out in a very long time. So youre already ahead on your PT scores. You will do 2 progress PT checks 1 week youre there then another PT progress check in your 3rd week.
      PT is monday - saturday unless scheduled differently for summer. 1-2 run days per week.
      If you can max your push ups and situps and do a 14ish 1.5mile youre fine.
      i maxxed my push ups and situps for the 25-29 age group and did a 14:20 1.5 mile and got around 80ish points i think. Just keep pushing yourself but dont wear yourself out, you should be fine. final PT test is the week before graduation.

    Also remember whatever you buy at tech school either has to be shipped home, taken with you or thrown out. Some tech squadrons allow you to sell stuff that was not issued to younger Airmen in the squadron.

    • @ClawGamingCG
      @ClawGamingCG  Před 4 dny

      Correct at sheppard we had a discord channrl for AIT's to buy/sell or drop stuff off to donate to the airmans attic.
      During Tech school thats why its just wise to just save money and only buy what you really need since you maybe moving overseas or a states away.

    Looking good man! I just finished watching the other video you made and was making a list then i saw this so i had to redo my list hahaha. Question, for the first actual day after processing, you’d already be wearing issued PT clothes and stuff so you wouldnt need comfy/workout clothes for a day or two right?

    • @ClawGamingCG
      @ClawGamingCG  Před 2 měsíci +1

      hahah, yea i was alittle late making the updated video. First 1-3 days youll be in civilian clothes, it depends on your Squadron youll be assigned to then youll be issued clothes. you wont be doing PT for the first few days since its all in-processing. but it depends on your squadron. For us we didnt start PT till the 2nd week

      @ClawGamingCG  Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@GGinoboiits mostly alot of yelling and processing haha from when you step off the bus and get issued your backpack and toiletries and civilian clothes for the first 2-3 days then you get all your uniforms. youll be issued your PT gear, socks, and standard uniforms and then no more civilian clothes after that

      Yes, in the binder/folio i have it has all my important documents because through BMT and even tech school you will have to keep track of all your documents. birth certificates, college transcripts, orders, passports, ID's, etc. Bring a copy your banking information like the bank address and routing/accounting numbers and i also have a list of family member phone number and addresses available so you can send off letters or any other addresses or info you may need

      @@ClawGamingCGquestion for you hopefully you can answer because I’m getting conflicting answers. I graduate BMT sept 20th (hopefully) how many days should my family stay to watch all the events. I keep reading they can just stay the 18/19 which is a Wednesday Thursday. Any info helps.

    • @ClawGamingCG
      @ClawGamingCG  Před 15 dny

      they can arrive early and stay at a local hotel or airbnb near the base so they can arrive a few days before your graduating to get used to the area but they wont be able to get on base until the days of your graduation which is a 2-day graduation which is the wednesday and thursday.
      Wednesday is your airmans run and coin ceremony
      Thursday is your graduation parade and ceremonies
      after each event youll be able dismissed to stay and go off base with your family until curfew

    • @ClawGamingCG
      @ClawGamingCG  Před měsícem

      You will be issued running shoes but itll take sometime to break them in. I brought some running shoes that were already broken in because some people got shin splints and foot issues from the issued shoes.

    Leaving tomorrow, oh boy. Anyone else get that black pit filling in their stomach 😂. And I get to go in with a slight advantage that a lot of people don’t, my father was in the military so I know what it’s like more or less, I still feel extremely nervous

    • @ClawGamingCG
      @ClawGamingCG  Před 4 dny

      Just keep and empty mind, just do as youre told, dont feel like you have an advantage because the expectations from when your dad was in is alot different now. So dont make yourself a target thinking you know what to do ahead of time.
      Just listen, take it all in, you got this.

    Are shoe inserts allowed? Like store bought ones not doctor prescribed?

    • @ClawGamingCG
      @ClawGamingCG  Před 27 dny

      Its dependent on the squadron youre assigned to, for our squadron we werent allowed to wear show inserts, they would have to send you to medical to get a waiver to wear boot inserts.

  • @TomKrieb
    @TomKrieb Před měsícem

    Do you need a shaving waiver to use an electric razor? I've been told they are not allowed.

    • @ClawGamingCG
      @ClawGamingCG  Před měsícem

      the shaving waiver is only for religious or if you get bad cuts or ingrown hairs from razor shaving or if you have a skin condition from your shaving.
      The use of an electric razor does not need a waiver, me and alot of people in my flight brought electric shavers to save time in the morning before forming up.

    Do you recommend bringing the electric or the manual razor? Or both? Do you recommend 3 spandex?

    • @ClawGamingCG
      @ClawGamingCG  Před 2 měsíci +2

      3-5 spandex to keep you through the week cause PT is almost Everyday at BMT. I would bring both a manual and electronic but use your electronic one and keep it setup and aligned in your locker since the manual razor would require you to clean it often and when they do inspections they will give you a demerit for a dirty razor. use your electronic one as your inspection display

    • @Friz-B
      @Friz-B Před 2 měsíci +1

      Thank you for much for the prompt reply! Regarding boxers and spandex, does it matter what color or probably best to keep it all black?

    • @ClawGamingCG
      @ClawGamingCG  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Black, Grey, or Blue are whats suggested but to just keep consistency just have them all black otherwise in training they will have you sort and organize it by color

    I’ve heard of people having family bring clothes and stuff in a bag to basic grad. That way you can take it straight to tech school. What do you think of that?

    • @ClawGamingCG
      @ClawGamingCG  Před 3 měsíci +1

      you wont be able to, during graduation youre not allowed to bring stuff back to the dorm, your MTI's will tell you to bring it back outside to your parents.
