    Eric,
This is a great topic to talk about! Most people install POP or Plasterboard on their ceilings but there is very little conversation on the topic in the Ghanaian CZcams building space and because of that we are all given the same square box design of two or three steps down. We do not challenge these artisans to engineer ways to come out with various designs that will be unique for each buildings. These people are comfortable doing the same thing over and over but it'll take almost the same amount of POP cement bags to do some of these designs as it'll take to do some of these intricate designs that makes the ceiling stand out.
There is a saying by many Building CZcamsrs that POP cement do not spoil, don't buy that lie. Ask you POP artisan or anyone of them for that matter. I bought and kept my POP cement for about 4 months and some of it caked and was un-usable. Don't make such a mistake if you're building and have reached your POP stage however pick a design that is unique to you. Do not let them start the work until you see a mold of the design you requested. A lot of these POP artisans will lie just to start the work on your POP if you give them a design that's not their favorite square design. Just sharing my experiences here
Just as Ghanaba Kwaku made mention of the Audi logo on someone ceiling, I've also seen a large Dollar sign and Euro signs in other people's POP ceilings. In these cases, there is no guessing where their mind or loyalty lies, lol. Most of the designs in the whole house such as painting, curtains, choice of kitchen appliances, living room and bedroom furniture will be mainly determine by your wife, most builders are married anyways. You as a man can help but in all seriousness most men have no clue how to properly decorate a house and get infuriated when the Mrs changes things living room around or repaints some rooms. The only place most men are "killing it" is the electronics. If you see a very large TV in a married couple home, that's the work of the man. So why don't we add POP Ceiling design to that list and show where our mind or allegiance is?

Very detailed description of your experience, thank you! I think the more experience we gain with PoP and plasterboard, the more conversations there will be on them. Most of the old builds used T&G and plywood so this is a new “era”. Hopefully with videos like this and comments like you have on this, people will learn and be more educated before that stage. Thanks again for all the support, brother!

You’re sharing your undiluted experience for other builders to learn from. It’ll be beneficial for others in the future to learn from our mistakes we share. I learned a lot from your videos and the mistakes you made from there. Adding my voice to the experience is the best way to help others to avoid our mistakes

Is plaster board same as dry wall?

Yes; they are essentially the same.

Great topic. How much is a reasonable price per square meter for POP.
