Fun fact: Out of the past 8 Presidents, 6 (Biden, Trump, Obama, Clinton, Bush Sr., & Reagan) were at least 6 feet tall, while George Bush Jr. was 5 feet 11 inches tall, & Jimmy Carter was 5 feet 9 inches tall. As someone who is 5 feet 8 inches tall & wants to run for Congress someday, this makes me feel bad about my chances since it seems being at or close to 6 feet tall is a requirement to be a politician.

Marcelo was literally exactly what this show needed, I’ve been following his standup for a while and I was so glad when he got on SNL because it has been rough over there for years. They needed some new blood and Marcello’s energy is exactly what the doctor ordered.
SNL please! More Marcello Hernandez sketches! He's the absolute BEST on SNL.
They have been ramping up his appearances so far in season 49. I'm guessing the two strikes they had over the summer had something to do with it.

It's so great to see that SNL stepped it up with the writing this season. Without Kate, Kyle, and Beck, I was truly worried that the show might come to an end. Congratulations, especially to the writers.
I was more worried that the show would go downhill without Cecily Strong, but now I feel like I've been lied to all this time if this is what SNL is like without Kate, Aidy, Pete, Kyle, Beck, Alex, and Melissa.

Fun fact: Despite often being portrayed as being a short man, Napoleon was actually 5 feet 7 inches tall, which was about average for a man at the time. However, since other world leaders at the time were closer to 6 feet tall & Napoleon was known for having a short temper, this led to jokes about & images of him being portrayed as a short man.
Also, the inches they used back then were 2.71 cm when the inch today is 2.54. So when they listed him as 5'2 he was actually 5'7, which helped fuel the rumor. Also his famous Old Guard that guarded him in battle were picked from the tallest soldiers, so the optics didn't help him either.

You want to know who was a short leader, look up Nestor Makhno. Guy fought both the White and Red army in the Russian/Ukrainian civil war about the time of the Russian Revolution. He was 5"2 and the founder of a variant of anarcho-syndicalism. Today if you look for a song called "Mother Anarchy Loves Her Sons" you will see his name and his name still inspires the brave Ukrainians fighting against Putin's army.
Give us more of this! Normally i don't find the weekend update that funny - but this bit was great - I loved everything about it. Marcello Hernandez was great, I hope we see more of him in the next season
