That was a bad week in weather there. I have to agree on oriental leaf, though I did open a tin of Cairo from July, 20 that has been pretty interesting to smoke. I'm smoking some FVF in a Mark Twain cob this morning, waiting on clients to come in. Have a great one!

After letting it sit out all night it has gotten much better I would bump it up to 6.5 now , and my friend said there is a liquor topping on it it’s apple jack brandy lol I knew I was picking up liquor
I remember mad fiddle being unremarkable, it was probably the topping I believe it was a wine. I was bummed because i was hoping to find another cigar leaf sleeper blend.
Looks like a mess in your area. Here in northern Nevada we’ve been fortunate with some nicer weather. Mad fiddler flake is pretty good not an everyday go to but for me worth keeping some tins in the cellar. Have a good one.
Sounds like an interesting blend. I've seen it, but never tried it. Those were some wild storm damage shots! Read online that the Ohio River around Marietta is starting to recede. The first spring we lived there, 1964, there was some SERIOUS flooding. I was 10, and thought it was cool as hell! I've found a C&D bulk I really like: Super Balkan. Don't be fooled by the name; the Latakia doesn't seem strong at all; the second half of the bowl very full, with the Perique and Burley. Enjoy your weekend, my friend!

Greenish oxidated stem. Smokes like a champ. Me and my bride are booking hotels for the Ohio pipe show look forward to meeting you pal.

I'm debating on that small batch with Jeremy Reeves and Eric Stokkabye blend. It's all the same stuff as their other blends with the exception of adding Burley and they went 18 bucks a tin for it.

I was at the gym when tornado hit. Sounded like the roof was coming off. Sign ripped off building and part of it landed right beside my vehicle. Guy yelled everyone into the locker room and huddle up. I jumped in my ride and got bumper to bumper with 8 others under a big bridge. Sat there and watched the show. I actually got on a YTPC Live that was going on 😂 I was in a hurricane while in FL years ago and it didn’t blow like this storm. Lots of damage all around but I got lucky

Seems to smoke ok out tin, but also intend to experiment w drying it, as is wet, as you also say lol Ps. I’m changing my opinion a bit of the hockey pucks lmao…I think for providing a bit of extra protection to just an open tin ie not jarring for a bit, they’re alright, 2bh😂

Yeah there is always going to be a troll around just makes me laugh, I have to tell you this one definitely benefits from drying time liked it much more after that
I don’t like orientals so when I figured out this is literally c&d poplar camp with orientals and cigar leaf added I just buy c&d poplar camp in bulk and c&d cigar leaf in bulk and blend it myself minus the nasty orientals lol. I mix it half and half and man it’s incredible. Way better than mad fiddler that way imo no toppings no orientals no floral notes. It’s not the cigar leaf because I have c&d cigar leaf for blending and it has no floral smell or taste at all. It’s definitely a topping of some sort they are putting on mad fiddler.

You’re probably thinking of Visions of Celephais, another Lovecraft blend, that does indeed have wine topping in it.

I don’t like orientals so when I figured out this is literally c&d poplar camp with orientals and cigar leaf added I just buy c&d poplar camp in bulk and c&d cigar leaf in bulk and blend it myself minus the nasty orientals lol. I mix it half and half and man it’s incredible. Way better than mad fiddler that way imo no toppings no orientals no floral notes. It’s not the cigar leaf because I have c&d cigar leaf for blending and it has no floral smell or taste at all. It’s definitely a topping of some sort they are putting on mad fiddler.
