One ring to rule them all :-)
Haha, in the lesson we came across the ancient word for "ring" so I told the class how to say "the lord of the rings" in Hebrew :P😊
11:54 Do you have any suggestions as far as reading about the history of the niqqud system? I would like to understand more about the historical and traditional background behind it. Thank you!
so do you mean specifically the vowels or are you more interested in the ancient ta'amim ?
@@HebrewLiteracy more the history of the Tiberian vowel system (how it came about and all that) but I wouldn’t mind learning more about the cantillation marks as well. That is where I have the biggest gap in my knowledge. Thanks. And sorry for the late response.
so sorry I was slow in replying. It's hard to keep a conversation going on youtube comments as the reply to a reply from the studio doesn't usually show up for me.
I'm sorry but I don't really know of a resource to recommend for the history of the development of these systems. I know there was a Babylonian system developed as well which is similar but different.
