During summer as a kid we had to knock out a chore each day, read x amount, internet was actually locked to 4hrs per day (would start at 8pm and go into 4am wow gaming session) and when parents got home we were kicked outside until dark. I think having a project to work on over the month learning something could be cool. Building habits or hobbies could be encouraged by doing them with him. That way if he works on coding you could work with him on a game, or whatever. Learn something with him that becomes a you guys thing. I had activities that I shared with my dad which was playing sports, learning skills, going for drives, camping

Buy a cyber truck. Its bulletproof can go 0-60 in 3 sec, has 4 seats, you can raise and lower the suspension. It’s all wheel drive. Get the cyber beast version. Probably won’t handle better than your focus until you get used to the steering. It weighs 6000lbs. It’s a tank with the speed of a Porsche. Plus you can tow your focus when the bumper comes off.

In a straight line, there are plenty of cars faster than the Focus RS. On the mountain pass, you'll be hard-pressed to find a faster car. Put a dog box and a hydraulic handbrake in the Focus, and it will pretty much be unbeatable at that point.

30:20 I don't know if they get to this but porsche absolutely has so many manual options even in the 992 generation. If you want the turbo s engine with a manual you need to go with the sport classic which is really expensive, but you can just get a carrera T which is waay cheaper and has a manual, or if can compromise on 4 seats 981 gt4 is of course the godlike choice, but Steven could also afford a gt3
BMW X5 and an Audi RS3 get you most of what you want at around $150k total. You can get cooler stuff for more, for sure. McLaren and the X5 would be a good combination too. Drove the X5 for a week and it was amazing how much I loved it, as someone who hates SUVs.

In a straight line, there are plenty of cars faster than the Focus RS. On the mountain pass, you'll be hard-pressed to find a faster car. Put a dog box and a hydraulic handbrake in the Focus, and it will pretty much be unbeatable at that point.

If you want the turbo s engine with a manual you need to go with the sport classic which is really expensive, but you can just get a carrera T which is waay cheaper and has a manual, or if can compromise on 4 seats 981 gt4 is of course the godlike choice, but Steven could also afford a gt3

Dan is right that porsche is the way to go though. Cayman GT4 RS is a good one to look into (nvm it’s automatic only. The regular 911 could be okay, rather than 911 turbo. Can eventually turbo it yourself if you feel like you’re missing power, but even naturally aspirated that car will crush the focus. Can also supercharge it if you want something less ricer-y)
Also I feel like for credit score it matters so, so, so much less when you have liquid or semi-liquid assets (like stock investment kind of stuff) that could cover the entire purchase
