We lose cubes from boss drops, pollo pouches, crafting and events. This will be a massive hit to all players because these non cash cubes are a huge source of both meso income/progression to players, removing them is basically just taking out a massive chunk of the reg server economy. This will also destroy the market for selling finished items because it will be so much more expensive to cube items for resale so no one will do it

I want to address this a bit more here, I benefited off these cubes GREATLY especially before tune-up Update nerfed droprate of them. I farmed a lot from Pianus/daily bosses sold TONS of drop/meso/15-17% accessories which really helped me start buying 30%/27% main potted items at the time. These cubes are a HUGE part for GMS non-reboot and removing them ontop of all this is massively bad.
@@DB-rp2gj Unfortunately it won't for KMS reg server. KMS reg server does not have cube drops from bosses like GMS does, so for them this option seems strictly better. While they are still affected by losing cubes from event shops and pollo pouches, crafting cubes is far more difficult in KMS than in GMS because GMS has far more sources of crafting materials (Ranmaru daily, Commerci Voyages). Due to the massive player base and the far more strict economy in KMS, they won't be hit nearly as hard as GMS will be with these changes.

Hope more streamers cover this. It effects all streamers as the playerbase will plummet, as well as their viewership and support as people drop off the game. So their own twitch/youtube presence will pretty much crash as well, for whatever is worth. Sadly, it's leaning more towards us getting the nerf. I saw the new world name reorganization and knew deep down what "heroic" meant: Either A) Hardcore server (meso nerf incoming), or B) Just a renaming based on the greek gods (Kronos and Hyperion). Even if they dont nerf GMS, this creates another dilemma: GMS being the last bastion for free to play MapleStory. We could very well see a surge of players from other regions trying to join GMS with VPNs and then that creates the same problem for other regions trying to capitalize on their own area. This could just paint a big fat bullseye back on all of our heads in the long run and we'll never get away from this looming doom over our heads.

A bit of a correction. It's actually closer to a 12x nerf on black cubes (or closer to 24x on reds) due to the loss of the 6x mesos rate on both crystals and mob drops. It's BAD. The loss on the 6x multiplier is a much bigger hit to reboot than the cap is tbh. But the cap is just an additional slap on the face. Then all the other costs, like SF being the big one, is just effectively 6x more expensive now due to the loss of the multipler.
They say it's to "combat botters" but botters just multiclient, they can relog after a character hits the cap. They can still make tons of meso, far exceeding the daily limit of legitimate players. The meso black market is going to go crazy, and the in game meso market will go down the drain just like you said

To preface this, I don't understand why this is being implemented in reboot. I may be missing something but the cap only makes sense in reg. So my statements only apply to that. And so: 7:00 - Economically it makes sense. Botters are artificially inflating the market. I've played since 05 and seen how much the market has been inflated. It's unacceptable. So setting a reasonable cap makes sense. Then mesos are being burned and taken out of the system via cubing, starforcing, etc which likewise slows down inflation. The majority of players aren't playing 5+ hours a day. And if you're on frenzy then yes, you get to your cap faster and it isn't as "good" since you are capped. But a positive way to look at it is you would not need to grind for mesos as long. Of course, you still are getting the extra exp via the extra mobs if you decide to continue farming. I DO understand your position as you play quite a bit, but in your own words "look at the big picture".

Removing the meso aquisition increase effect from reboot will be the death of reboot. We don't have a meso economy, scroll enhancements, or bonus potential. So we lost our exp rates, lost a chunk of our final damage, now losing meso rates. If these changes do come, I will no longer be playing until changes happen to reboot that is for the better
It makes reboot potentials 10x more expensive, much harder to SF due to time gate, plus the nerfed exp and final damage. At this point there’s literally no reason to keep playing reboot.
Reboot after all the changes, reboot will just be normal servers with extra nerfs. Even fashionstory is harder on reboot since trading NX between most characters isn't an option outside of specific events.

Ive been playing since beta and I think Nexon is trying to fix the excessive meso pool available causing massive inflation. It probably wouldnt be a permanent solution to reduce the inflation in the maple economy

About GMS' hope in not blindly porting this over, another indicator was that they removed instanced maps in reg and kept it for reboot. Things like that are unforeseen and I was very shocked they actually defended GMS and did the best for both servers, although it took us uproaring in every community because they're too stupid to realize the problem on their own. I don't trust Nexon for the least bit, but the only thing we can do now is wait, and I'm saying there might be a chance

The GMS devs somewhat knows what the player base wants, but it doesn't matter what they say. Whatever people above them like ka wong gi has the final say, and he most likely doesn't know the difference in culture and play styles of EU/NA. What is probable, is that there's a high chance it will come, but in a nerfed state, and what i mean by that, is it comes in a more farmable state. But only time will tell
