  • A video from Oct. 11. 2019, at the Tower of London inside the Chapel Royal of St. Peter ad Vincula. It's a little long, but interesting and entertaining. Thank you Yeoman Warder Jason Woodcock for a great presentation.
(Please excuse some of my phone meandering off subject -- I was looking all around at the chapel during his history lesson.)

Yeoman Warder Jason Woodcock was great! Wish I could've been there; I'd have asked to get my picture taken with him! 🥰 All the Yeoman Warders are wonderful representatives of English tradition and history. Thank you for sharing this video. 😊

Great way to pass on the gift of History. Deviant burials of the time could also have been buried face downwards to deny the person resection on the last day. It was also believed that to be raised from the grave, a person must be buried whole and by ordained clergy. Not only were the executed condemned on Earth they were condemned to hell. I agree with the comment about Lady Jane Grey, Mary l was as evil as her father. Many reformed martyrs died because of her religious intolerance.

They didn't have TV or movies and the peasants couldn't read so this was their only entertainment. Their version of horror (live).

He was off on a lot of things. Anne Boleyn didn't beg for a French executioner. One was ordered before the trial even took place and she was found guilty. The executioner didn't hold Anne head in the air either. It is some of the facts that annoyed me about that tour

Let us not forget the War of 1812-1814 when the Royal Navy sailed up the Potomac river and set fire to the White House, the Americans had to white wash it to cover up the fire damage, which is why it’s called the White House, the Americans then sued for peace at the end of 1814, even though they won a battle at the end (the battle of New Orleans), but the war was already over at that point so the stupid fuckers were still fighting even though they’d already lost. That’s america and they’ve been working for us ever since!
