My tidbit on this subject: figure out what your needs are and what your budget is. E.g. self defense (home/ carry), then set a budget. Say $1000, but leave yourself $200 as a "just incase". That $1000 isn't just for the gun but the entire setup. Don't be afraid to go used from reputable dealers with reputable brands. CZ P07s can often be had for around $400, comes with 2 mags, get a decent light (olight, streamlight, inforce, etc) to put on it, snag a qvo holster, 1 to 2 extra mags (for now) And a good yet cheap ass edc belt would be the low pro blue alpha gear ($35 off Amazon when I snagged it). We're at just over $700 with room to spare for different sights, maybe more mags, ammo, cleaning kit, or even a training class. Shop around, ask a shit ton of questions try out as many guns as you can and find what fits YOUR needs. For the would you rather... give me my candy, I'll just eat prime rib or ham on thanksgiving instead of turkey. Here's YOUR would you rather: during a zombie apocalypse/ red dawn/ shit got real situation, would you rather have multiple guns plenty of ammo, but have limited other resources, or would you rather have additional resources and one gun with 4 mags in total? Additional resources being food, water, clothing, tools etc. And which gun/ guns and/ or resources would you bring?
