For the moment, my favourite is Stillman and Birn Delta. I don't practice only watercolours. I like the quality and also the ivory tone paper. But I hope some day I'll dare to buy this Etchr perfect sketchbook, and about A4 is a format that I like. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful work! Pasadena is my home town, so I loved seeing Castle Green and Eaton Canyon portrayed so beautifully and the arts and crafts aesthetic is so Pasadena from back in the day. So many craftsman bungalows ❤

I really enjoyed your sketchbook tour and the story you tell by making an illustrated journal. I have never done that before with my sketchbooks but you've inspired me to head in that direction! I noticed that the Etchr Perfect Sketchbook paper is 100% cotton, which I have found makes such a difference when painting. Also, I noticed that you're involved in the California Art Club. I recently moved to Atwater Village from Washington, DC for retirement and I hope to get involved in the California Art Club. Thanks again for your amazing video!

Your sketching skills are beyond compare. What a. Beautiful style. I’m going to have to check out your channel because I would bet watching you sketch is pretty amazing. I almost looks like a contour style and then the periphery is popped in. I don’t know. But your eye and. Perspective are spot on and that amaryllis spread was so beautiful. But for me the architecture is so impressive.❤

Wow I love the whole feel of your sketchbook. Now I regret not being able to join your workshop at WASH in Houston when you come. The group is going to have SO much fun! Drawing with ink, no pencil… eek! I need to learn to be comfortable with that… thanks for sharing this awesome book.
I Workshop in Houston is negative Painting. No pen and ink drawing for that workshop.

do you like this paper for fountain pen? I can’t decide between the beta sketchbook & etchr!
Annabella, The Etchr Perfect Sketchbook has rougher paper than Beta. You need a wet writer with the Etchr. If you want to do more ink/pen line work you might prefer the Beta. It all depends on how you want to use a sketchbook.

Love love love! Your work! What do you use as a sketching pen? It looks like a brown marker? Does it bleed if you add the watercolour?

The brown ink you see in the sketchbook we’re done with the fountain pen. I used waterproof ink: De Atramentis Document, Ink, Brown.
Question about sketchbooks. Do you know of any that have the elastic strap on both sides? How is that not a thing? I’m thinking of adding one on the front side/left side of my more important sketchbooks.
I don’t know if any sketchbooks with two elastics wraps. I sometimes use an elastic headband.
