Yes he has a beautiful swing. That's all I ever talk about when he's batting. I now see why he hit so many homers in the minors in a short time. Great replacement for Rizzo honestly. Nice to see him get a curtain call too he deserved it.

George would've cleaned house many years ago. Hal has no guts. He's nothing like his father. Until Boone and Cashman are gone, the yanks got no shot. Holmes blew like a dozen saves.
Holmes blew 5 saves which isn’t that far from away other closers. George never cleaned house. He had success with catfish and Reggie in the late 70s. However, the 80s wasn’t good. He traded rookies for veterans that didn’t do much. Buhner for Phelps is an Seinfeld joke. In the 90s, George wanted to trade Bernie, Jeter, and even Mariano was mentioned. Thankfully, Micheal and Watson got around it. George told one of his managers, “ I won you the pennant I got you Steve trout.”

@@cambonious23Best thing that happened for the Yanks back then was George getting banned by MLB for a few years. That way, he couldn't interfere with Michael and Buck Showalter as they built what would become the Torre dynasty. Bob Watson was a fine person, but it was Stick and Buck who built that team. George's biggest contribution was hiring Mr.Torre, because I'm not sure Buck would have ever gotten the Yankees to the top.

Rice has been cooking so far. Boone with a great decision to put him in leadoff. Small sample of him for June he batted .273 overall. He didn't show much power, but he was hitting unlike other players in the lineup . So far this month .333/.400/1.056. at the moment .294 4HR 12RBI .971OPS. I'm not saying he's a future 1B, but this kid is showing some early stages of being a good player.

He's got a pretty good swing, he consistenty hit homers in the minors. He could be a solid player.
