The Luminous outfit just being a luchador outfit for no discernible reason other than the mexican sugar skull connection is so funny. I do not blame you for the goofy rating
I'm really bummed I didn't make the luchador/Mexican sugar skull connection because it's definitely there! That does actually make it a little less goofy in my eyes
30:13 I actually went out of my way to get some topaz earnings in order to have a headgear with the same amount of protection without having to see that big helmet during my entire playthrough, but rather Link's beautiful hair.
I respect this course of action. It's really not okay to hide those golden locks under a helmet I did the same with the diamond circlet so I could have an attack bonus without covering his hair. Plus it makes him look like the king he is
For me changing the color of some makes the difference for example the zora armor changing it to Mipha and Sidon color makes all the difference for me and to me is the canon version
The totally bare legs of "The Hero" set are something! But it's pretty accurate to the outfit worn by Link in the original game, in the illustrations from that era! And yeah! The headpieces on the "Barbarian" and the "Farosh/Lightning Power" outfits are just tragic! I love the other two dragon based sets though! Including the headpieces! By the way,I love how you did this video! You're funny! 😊
He does have just totally bare legs and it's so funny. But you make a good point, they are accurate for the Link they're meant to represent. That Link was 10, so it would make sense that the fully adult Link in TotK would have to squeeze into those tiny shorts The Barbarian and Farosh head gear really do ruin the rest of two pretty cool outfits! And I definitely find the other two to be less goofy, but they're just something about Naydra's headpiece that makes me think "Ice Princess" and I can't take it seriously Thank you so much!! It really means so much to read that ☺
The Divine Beast Helms are technically part of an armor set, but the other armor pieces aren’t in Tears of the Kingdom. They are alternate head pieces for the Ancient Armor set from BotW. Since Guardians and Sheikah shrines are gone, the Ancient Armor is gone.
This makes SO much sense, and for some reason I didn't connect those helms with that armor. I think it's because they were amiibo exclusive, I never got access to them in BotW. I would still have loved to have the Ancient Armor, despite the fact it should be gone. I really liked that armor except for that silly-ass headpiece. I think that armor would actually make these helms much cooler
found you through your other totk/botw tier lists and i just love the way you present everything, and like with this video you took yout own spin on rating the outfits, and idk i just felt like I had to let you know i ve been loving your content
I made myself a set of Trousers of the Hero for Halloween by cutting an octorok decal (by hand!) and applying it to a pair of nice short shorts. They have since become maybe my favorite pair of shorts, because they bring the fantasy of Hyrule just a little bit into the real world (or maybe it’s just because they’re so short and comfortable)
I love this! I appreciate all the effort you put in to make them perfect. I also love the idea that it brings a little bit of Hyrule into the real world (and that they're super comfortable) I especially like the addition of the octorok decal
@@latettgame fair enough we just don't share opinion. It is just a game. Just so you know ChuckNorrisFromDenmark is a joke name and I actually forgot I changed it to that😂. My actual name is Anton and I am actually from Denmark.
I do think a lot of my criticism is wrapped up in the headpiece, because the rest of it is really mystical and cool looking. I think if it was even slightly less pointy, it would look less silly to me.
To me, the Hero of the Wild set just doesn't look like it fits him, and I think it's the 3/4ths sleeves and the shorts. Whenever I see it, I keep thinking that it was initially made for a kid, so when you put it on this Link, who's supposed to be in his late-teen to early twenties, it just looks really goofy.
Exactly!! This is such a good way to put it. It definitely feels like he squeezed into a child's outfit, which actually makes sense now that I think about it because the original Link was 10 years old. So yeah, it's literally an adult man trying to put on a 10 year old's outfit and that just makes it so much funnier to me
11:54 I know why it is, is because that set was originally worn by a child. That's why it makes him look like a little kid. Because its made for a little kid.
I think my main problem with that is that it still fits adult Link relatively well. With the Armor of Time and of the Hero, we have an adult Link squeezing into the clothes of a 10 year old boy, which is how he ends up in shorts, but with the Armor of the Wind, it's like the made a replica that would fit Adult Link but still make him look like a kid. Idk why but I find it weird
I feel this so hard 💀 I just think if they were going to go for it, they should have gone for it instead of half-assing it and making it look like a weird body suit
Thank you ☺ This is fair, I actually debated a bit on the Frostbite headpiece, but I think it was the way it sat on his head that made it look funny to me Yeah, I do think I gave the froggy set a little too much credit
Fair point. My only defense is that the Zora Armor helm looks goofy, but it has a purpose behind the goofiness. It's meant to look like a Zora's head But the Soldier's helmet doesn't have a purpose for its goofiness. It just has a big feather sticking out of the top This is not really the best explanation, but it's the only one I have 🤷♀️
I'm sorry, but I don't think I have the time to collab at the moment, I really only get a few hours a week to record for the rest of the week and it's never at the same time. I've had to increase my hours at work due to everything being so damn expensive nowadays 😩
Taking the hood down is an option it's just tied to a quest in Hateno Village.

They really weren't. They were ready to throw down and did
Good video! The armor i personally use is the Climbers shirt, Trousers of the sky, and the hylian hood (or no headpiece at all).
Thank you!
That's a good look. The Trousers of the sky are some of the better looking of the throwback pants imo

Most sets look amazing if you replace head piece with earrings
This is so true. Link looks so good in earrings
Supremely important video.
I disagree on the goofiness of the Frostbite headpiece. It looks like a cool crown. Pun not intended but acknowledged.
The froggy set also deserved better. The froggy set is not less goofy than the glide set.

26:17 lol at the radiant set. I see it as a masked luchador, has the champion belt and everything.
That's honestly a way better comparison and it makes me sad I didn't see it before lol
Could it be that the armor you wear normally is diamond circlet, champion's leathers and fierce deity boots?
That 100% my go-to fit
Mine too! That's a cool coincidence!
I am curious what happened to the Rito armor set. I mist have missed it in the video.
That's the Snowquill set, it's at 28:45
Ok so you'll give the soldier set kinda goofy because of the helmet but will give the zora set a little goofy when it's helmet is way goofier?
