Ranking the Coziness of all of the Villages and Towns in Tears of the Kingdom

- Honestly, I think that every village and town in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is really cool and interesting in its own way. Each has a unique design that makes it all its own, and that makes them really hard to pit against each other, since they all fill different niches.
So, of course, the only obvious solution is to compare them based on completely arbitrary guidelines. Duh.
So, as the title very clearly stated, I’ll be ranking all of the villages in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom by how cozy they are.
For the purposes of this ranking I’ll be following this definition of coziness: “the quality of being comfortable, pleasant, and warm.” Furthermore, the words “comfortable, pleasant, and warm” will be defined as such.
Comfortable: putting us at ease and feeling relaxed
Pleasant: making us feel happy and enjoyment
Warm: feeling homey and creating feelings of attachment
Each of these qualities needs to be present and strongly felt in order to be at the top of the tier list and considered the ultimate cozy location.
This ranking does not include the stables, but instead focuses on larger, more settled communities. As a result, the following are the only villages or towns included on this list:
Lookout Landing
Rito Village
Tarrey Town
Kakariko Village
Goron City
Kara Kara Bazaar
Hateno Village
Zora’s Domain
Korok Forest
Lurelin Village
Gerudo Town

Inside the Deku tree is the coziest part of the forest. The spore store! The little bed the koroks made for you!
You're right, the more I think about it, the more it seems like Korok Forest should have been higher. Despite being inside a dude, it's still crazy cozy
Honestly thinking about it, I would probably move Zora's Domain a tier down in my own ranking. They don't have fabric, let alone a fluffy blanket, in sight for how windy and wet it can get in that region haha
I also think the big deal breaker for me with Rito Village would be the lack of walls - give me some beautiful glass walls like a fancy treehouse to help insulate those campfires and I'm THERE

This is a really good point I didn't consider. If you're not a fish person, you're gonna be so cold! And even the beds at the inn just look like carved rock with no bedding.
Also, yeah, the lack of walls probably should have been a bigger deal breaker for me to bring it down a level. I think I got charmed by the views that I forgot it would be windy af up there

Just got to the tier names, and have to thumbs up for the name of the bottom tier, haha! But Tarrey Town not being top tier!? BLASPHEMY! You literally help your friends acclimate to their little girl growing up and get heartfelt family moments attached to the town.

Yeah, I think I should have given Tarrey Town a little more credit. It should have been at least one tier higher, if not top tier. The only reason I don't know if I say say top tier is because, like @coopinatormusic6214 said in another comment, it's more industrial in totk with the Zonai devices and construction zone. But you're right, the Hudson family quest alone should have risen Tarrey Town a level

I have to hard disagree on the Kara Kara Bazaar being bottom tier. It gives off the vibe of a RV camp ground; those are always peek croc coziness. A literal oaisis amongst the harsh landscape

You make a good case for Kara Kara Bazaar. Honestly, I was a little too harsh just because of its size. But you're right, RV camp grounds, or really any camp grounds, do have some croc level coziness right there
How do you have the perfect reaction for everything? I laughed when you had Bubbles freaking out over sleeping on a rock.
I a lot of the time have the exact clip idea floating around in my head, but then sometimes I just kind of have to search some key words and see what I come up with. It helps that I typically know what I want it to say in general, I just won't know the exact phrasing until I find the perfect clip. That Bubbles one is a perfect example of me on the hunt for that "general idea but now knowing I'd find the perfect clip until I did a little digging" lol
Finally finished my playthrough, so now I can watch this and I'm all here for it 💙

My personal coziness ranking would have Hateno higher up, it may be a more bustling town but it is also easily the most liveable with everything one could need and its own distinctive charm. Nice and pleasant tucked away into its own corner of the map. Plus your own house.
With Gerudo Town, the town itself to me is not very cozy, its in the middle of the desert after all and the buildings are all carved out of stone, not to mention that the Gerudo are not exactly the most welcoming. But i honestly found that the underground area actually made it more cozy, basically its own little underground town.
Rito village is nice, but the lack of walls ruins it for me. For non bird people, i imagine it would be pretty chilly.
Yeah I think I was a little harsh on Hateno, it is really cute and charming. A lot of comments like this have had me rethinking how I ranked these lol
I do think that my Gerudo Town ranking is based in my personal bias because of how much I love it. I also think the underground area helped increase it in the ranking in my mind cause it is more cozy, like you said

Let’s not forget that Rito Village has a bunch of big bird people who I’m sure would feel soft and warm to hug with all those feathers. Big pair of wings wrapped around you like a cozy cocoon or blanket. Mmmm❤

@@latettgame hah. Only downside to that is he’s too big for me to wrap my arms around. Unless that size is mostly fluff from the feathers and he’s real slim underneath. Poofy owl!

If I can give you a bit of feedback, some of the cuts to memes were a bit jarring. Just my personal taste, but choosing to go for fewer memes at well-timed and seamless transitions (like the John Mulaney one) would make the video more enjoyable.
