We first tie a 6L5B turk's head and then do the lone star interweave. Looks quite similar to a pineapple knot. The know will find its use on an end of a handle or as a covering knot.
The knot is demonstrated by Bruce Grant in his encyclopedia in plate 87.

As a resident of the Lone Star State, I'll say this is a nice knot - but should be a white star on a blue field!!!!!

Do you have a link for your lacing needle? I like that it has a flat side. All the fids I see are round. Thanks

I get my fids at Hobby Lobby. They are exactly like this. In the leather section.

Paracord guild yeah but I been having trouble finding out how to perform the interweave properly. no one likes a 5 bight x 6/7 part thk for some reason.

Marc, all of the instructions that I've been finding are all for 4,6,8 bight pineapple knots. I've been searching and attempting on my own to no avail.

      Hey!
Some knots just can't be tied, be aware of that! This is why for example the Flores button knot was invented.

      Hey there!
I have two tutorial on just the knots used for covering golf balls. This one may be a bit too small. Search for "golf ball key fob" in my channel, they should pop up!
